I figured out the hidden message on the new update

TLDR: Hidden message from destroyed robot heads on second to last paragraph.

So… The new update added some robotic parts near the new crashed interceptor ships, bases, and scattered throughout the corrupted worlds. If you interact with these, you first get a famous integer sequence followed by a binary sequence. – I didn’t take note of the first sequences because I think they’re fluff, but I recall seeing the Fibonacci and the weird numbers (abundant but not pseudoperfect) sequences in there.

So I went around taking note of each binary sequence and found a total of 12 so far, ranging from 1 to 11 and then a 17 – IIRC, I didn’t make a note of that one since it has no numbers, just question marks.

The numbers I found are:

#1: 1010110

#2: 1001111

#3: 1001001

#4: 1000100

#5: 100000

#6: 1001101

#7: 1001111

#8: 1010100

#9: 1001000

#10: 1000101

#11: 1010010

At first I though portal glyphs of some cool new location or maybe quest, but unfortunetly the numbers are too big (>16) and I couldn’t see a working conversion.

I did find a hidden message, if you convert each number to a letter, in order. The trick is to add zeros to the left, since number 5 has one less digit than the rest which serves as a hint – i.e., 1010110 becomes 01010110, and so on.

The message is : VOID MOTHER.

So maybe it’s a hint for an upcoming… something? Or just hidden lore? I don’t know, just wanted to share my findings. Also, it would be nice if someone found and shared additional sequences, if they exist, like from range 12-16.

Edit: Format and words.

Do the devs listen to any bug reports?

For an instance, the bug where you open your menu and it opens up the exocraft, or starship menu first.

It’s frustrating when I open my inventory to get something, and it opens my exocraft that’s on another planet, so i have to tab everytime.

I submitted a report a year ago, plus I see other people reporting it on other threads and websites. I won’t even mention the other bugs that have been present for years, but I hope you get my point.

I love this game though. It’s definitely alot less buggy since l started playing it a few years ago. It’s just a few bugs here and there that annoy me still.

The craziest thing happened to me recently

I was on an icy extreme weather planet fighting a sentinel pillar. I didnt have a cold weather protection tech and just quickly jamming an ion battery into my hazard protection every 30 seconds or so. It was tedious but I had to fight this pillar for a mission. Eventually an extreme storm rolled in, which was problematic but luckily the last bot, the mech, was almost dead. I took down the mech and headed over to the console.

Standing at the console, I then see WARNING: EXTREME WIND EVENT Huh I get slowly pushed up against the pillar, and am unable to extract myself I blink Then I am flailing in a white void. No ground in sight. Very concerned for my safety, I look up. And realize I am on the edge of space. Then, some random jerk wad in a space ship starts trying to shoot me out of the sky He lands a few laser shots on me and that’s where I begin to panic. Now there really wasn’t much I could do in my panic, and luckily I was calm enough to save my jetpack for when I inevitably returned to the ground. So I watched helplessly as I was buffeted by strong winds and being attacked by spaceships. Eventually, after what felt like an agonizingly long time, I began to see flickering flames of damaged machinery through the fog and saw the ground getting closer. I sparingly used my jetpack to slow and eventually reach the ground relatively unharmed. Immediately, I try to call my starship in, but the ground here was very uneven.

Then, a few seconds after having landed, a new message appears. WARNING: EXTREME ELECTROMAGNETIC EVENT Before I have a chance to process this new warning, the world erupts in lightning. Panic level rises more and I desperately try to get to flatter ground.

Then a direct strike. Completely ahnnilating my shields and leaving me with two health cores. At this point my panic has reached its apex. I began floundering desperately trying to call my ship in, spamming left click and looking everywhere.

I did manage to get my ship called in. I hopped in, and immediately left the planet. Critically wounded, tech broken, but alive. After taking a moment to calm down and make sure the planet I landed on wasn’t a portal to oblivion, I realized: I never finished my mission at the sentinel pillar. Steeling myself for what was to come, I went back, but it was entirely uneventful. Mission complete, I left the planet. Hopefully, never to return.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a clip of this whole ordeal, which I greatly regret. It was truly the craziest chain of events that happened to me.

When did the amount of frigates you can own change?

I have had this save for a couple years. The last time I played this save i remember selling a couple C class frigates to make more room for better ones. I recently started playing again and I picked up where i left off, buying frigates. But I was not able to buy any becouse the ”buy icon” wouldnt show up. Anyways I found out you can own a maximum of 30 frigates. I curently own 31 and I asume at some point I was up to 37. When did they change this?

Desperate please for room scale VR support or a mod to fix it

I jumped into VR yesterday and wow, the game play great. Except for 1 constant frustration while playing; the HUD does not move with your head, so you have to constantly re-align it to see it. If you turn on being able to see your full body (which is a great immersive feature for VR for sure), your head get’s twisted up as well. Why hasn’t this been corrected yet? I remember complaining about this when VR support was first added on my old HTC Vive. Surely this is a quick simple update to fix right? Or a simple mod? It makes on-foot VR annoying to play.

Are there any MOD solutions, or config solutions to this? Anything at all I can do to negate this annoyance? I would really love to spend some extended time in VR as it looks and runs great, but this is kind of a deal breaker for long term play in VR. I’ve finally gotten into this game in flat but I really want this to be another VR game I can spend hours in. Desperate for any solutions here.

Hunting for an S-class freighter is the most frustrating and boring experience in the game. How abou...

Title. I’ve recently gotten back into the game and did a hell of a lot of grinding and building. Made 2 farms to make 400 mil every day, got and upgraded S-class ships and Multitools, upgraded my inventory etc. No matter how long it took, I always made at least a little progress so it was fun and rewarding. Reloading again and again for that tiny % to get that s-class freighter you want feels like being stuck in a nightmare loop. Every time you take minutes to fight the ships or dreadnought only to be met with an ABC class and a disappointed reload, leaving you with nothing to show for the time spent.

We should be able to upgrade freighters or have other ways to work towards the class desired, even if it takes a while to accomplish. At least then you’re working towards something and don’t get denied by RNG cause idk, it’s just not fun. 2 hours of doing this is 2 hours wasted. No other progress. Because the alternative is getting one battle every 3 hours which is absolutely worse.
