The closest planet I’ve found to Earth
After almost 2000 hrs playing NMS, this is my permanent home. So reminds of Earth. I love this game! I only ask, please improve PSVR2 resolution. submitted by /u/ExplanationCrafty156 |

Just wanted to share this because I think many folks here would appreciate it.
I have NMS on PSVR1 and still prefer to play it this way, despite the blurriness (although the latest update appears to have improved it a lot, even on my headset). And I saw a post here about how it’s the experience of being there that makes all the difference, compared to flat screen, which I agree with.
The day after the recent update dropped, I tried the game again because I hadn’t played in a while and I saw in the release notes that there were graphical updates “for all VR platforms”. I thought there was an immediate difference, IMO, and it all looked much better compared to how I remembered it (this is the PS4 version), but then…
There came a point where I got the “incoming storm” message, so I jumped into my ship. I must have spent 5 minutes just chilling, waiting for the storm to end, and watching the toxic rainfall through the windows. But the thing is, I felt cosy and warm, just as if I was sitting at home on a rainy day!
I had to tell my wife about it, because I’ve never had a game evoke that kind of feeling before (and I’ve been gaming for over 40 years).
Has anyone else experienced that effect in NMS, and/or VR games, in general?

Lads, the game is mind blowing now, I don’t know how you did that but the visual changes in the PSVR2 version are astounding. It’s night and day. Foveated render brings it to another level. Thank you so much guys for supporting your baby so much, I love you. I know the staff will probably never see this post but I had to say it.
Tell my wife and children I love them.

Just wanted to show my latest freighter base.
heading to the restaurant/eatery
Heading to the industrial hallway
Looking into the eatery, near warehouse
main entrance/exit with rain effect
Inside the pyramid. It’s intentionally dark so bioluminescent plants light up visibly
