Recently been seeing a significant number of people posting about hard locks and losing/corrupting their saves since Echoes. Don’t know if other platforms are experiencing this at all, and don’t know how common it is, but I’m seeing enough of it that when I started getting locked up I decided to give it a rest until it gets fixed. Just posting this in the hopes that someone who might otherwise wind up losing their main save to this could hold off for a few days or a week and save themselves a lot of grief.

And if you’re having these problems and/or have lost a save due to this, please report it to the Hello Games zendesk. I’m sure they probably have heard plenty about it already, but it helps to let them know how widespread things are (or aren’t).

Metal doors on the basic prefabs require making a logic gate to function properly, and the alternative is using a more expensive (and frankly less cool) holo-door.

I don’t think the current door should be removed, as it allows for making some really cool stuff. But I think adding the automatic door that existed pre-beyond as a separate item would be a welcome addition.

The first time i saw a gas giant in the game ‘Outer Worlds’…my jaw just…dropped at the sight of a rainbow Jupiter. Then i felt sad because there is NOTHING in No Man’s Sky as beautiful as that. Not even close. And it makes me upset because i specifically remember Sean promising us gas giants multiple times. So far, Hello Games has done a fantastic job updating the game, but gas giants were the one thing i was excited for the most. I don’t even care if we can’t land on them. I’m only saying this because i want No Man’s Sky to be the best it can be.
