I find the building system in No Mans Sky is generally pretty good. A bit shonky with pieces suddenly snapping to a different location as you build them. Generally fine though and not too annoying.

Half ramps and small panels though. What the hell went wrong? They don’t snap to anything, they don’t rotate properly, they only snap in stupid orientations (see picture). I’m aware free placement exists but I don’t get why the auto-snapping was released in such an absolute garbage state. Feels like they are so buggy and next to unusable. Makes me rage.

Anyone else or just me?

I’m so happy but now I have to rebuild and I forgot to dismantle the old one ooops oh well I’m just happy I finally did it and it only took 5 reloads.

Here’s my attempt at a nice little gathering spot by the sea. I just wanted some place that looked like it would be nice to hang out in for a while.

I love the game, going 90 hours now, and decided to really try my best to build a base where i can finally settle down. Found a paradise planet, boom, let setup my base on a mountain.

Everything was going fine, I planned how my base going to look like (even do research on google), until it’s time to arrange the object, the decoration. It was horrible, it’s very hard to align object in base building mode, even though I turn on the snap object placement, the object sometimes doesn’t shows up. It’s very buggy, and whenever I put something on an object (table lamp for example), it literally sinks into the object under it.

What upsets me the most is, I build the base using small cuboid, but I can’t place painting, poster on the wall. Did I missed something ? Took me 6 hours to complete the base, but I was not satisfied, something is missing. The decoration could have been better, but the base building mode is very buggy. I’m disappointed. Did I do it wrong ?
