I lost One billion, two hundred million credits upgrading my multi tool due to a bug in the OG Waypoint update. But you know what?
I realized only one billion, two hundred million credits too late that if you paid to unlock a new slot in your multi tool, the slot wouldn’t advance to it’s locked neighbor, requiring you to manually choose the next slot. If you didn’t catch this immediately, it would just set there, eating your hard earned credits without unlocking anything new. It was a hell of a shock to say the least.
But you know what? I think one billion, two hundred million credits isn’t a bad price for a game with 18 quintillion planets. Not to mention years of fantastic free updates that I look forward to with that feeling of anticipation you got as a kid. You always know it might bork some of your carefully planned builds (I’m looking at you, Origins update) but that’s part of its cleverly janky charm. It’s a game on a universal scale, created by roughly 15 people, who previously had only published a small mobile game, that is a monumental feat alone!
Never has a game taken me on such a long, wild, and beautiful journey. It’s the perfect way to de-stress after a long day. I will eventually rebuild my imaginary wealth of fictional currency, and will have even more memorable evenings doing so.
I love it! But, occasionally I don’t love it so much, then a patch quickly come along and fixes that.

Nicely done, Hello Games Team. As far as creators of universes go, you’re not too bad. At least you didn’t do a Great Flood update and drown everybody like that other universe creator guy did.
Oh, and on the off chance a HG team member reads this; I like getting things from other players in the Anomaly without having to approve them, please continue to leave this as an option on the future. Thank you
