And loving it?
I mean, I don’t have the simplest clue what I’m doing. I’m trying to learn the alien language right now, and accidentally offending them enough that, I’m now supposedly an enemy.. but they still talk (try to, at least) with me. Lol.
Trying to follow the tutorial quests.. but I’m stuck on digging up the buried tech, nome of the chests I’m finding have it in them.. but oh well, I found this little drone to rebuild, gathered the components, and now I need some kind of material I haven’t even heard of. What the heck lol.
I can see myself sinking a lot more time than I should into this — it’s scratching an itch I’ve been looking for, for a long time.
Is there much of a social scene here? I haven’t even figured the multi-player out yet, but I’d certainly be keen for it.. anyone want to team up at some stage, or in other words, baby-sit me? Lol.

Why is it when you land your ship it absolutely SLAMS into the ground? Do the landing gears not have any shock absorption? Even the new Starborn Runner with some sort of levitation still slams down every time you land. I noticed it the VERY first time I landed and after almost 2000 hours it still aggravates me. The personal trade rocket has a nice soft touch down so it can’t be that difficult.

If you look at the names of some characters in nms they are named after Greek & Roman gods/goddesses. Example: Tethys: Tethys is the goddess of freshwater and nursing mothers. Also the name of a moon of Saturn. Apollo: The god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the sun and light, poetry, and more. Mercury: the Roman god of commerce, often serving as a mediator between the gods and mortals. Ares: The ancient Greek god of war or, more properly, the spirit of battle. He represented the distasteful aspects of brutal warfare and slaughter. Ariadne: She was a Cretan princess and the daughter of King Minos of Crete. Cronus: A Titan and the youngest son of Uranus (Heaven/Sky) and Gaia (Earth). Eos: Represented as a young woman, usually winged, either walking fast with a youth in her arms or rising from the sea in a chariot drawn by winged horses, Eos has the power to bring the dawn or the morning sky to the ancient Greeks. Gemini: According to one version of the myth, Castor and Pollux were made into the constellation Gemini by the god Zeus to honor the brothers’ love. Helios: The sun god, sometimes called a Titan. Helios is often depicted in art with a radiant crown and driving a horse-drawn chariot through the sky. He was a guardian of oaths and also the god of sight. Hesperus: The Evening Star, the planet Venus in the evening. A son of the dawn goddess Eos (Roman Aurora), he is the half-brother of her other son, Phosphorus (also called Eosphorus; the “Morning Star”). Hyperion: The Titan god of watchfulness and heavenly light. He was the father of Eos (Dawn), Helios (Sun), and Selene (Moon), as well as the brother of Cronus, king of the Titans, and the husband of Theia, Titan goddess of the sky. Perses: The Titan god of destruction. He was the father of Hekate, goddess of witchcraft, by the Titanis Asteria (“Starry One”). Selene: In Greek and Roman religion, the personification of the moon as a goddess. She was worshipped at the new and full moons. Artemis: The goddess of chastity, hunting, and the moon, often depicted with her trusty bow and arrow and a short tunic to aid in running through the woods. Her maidenly virtue—for she swore never to marry—was presented in counterpoint to the passionate and fiery Aphrodite. submitted by /u/Lorekeeper_Zav |

I’m on a series x, is anyone else having real trouble landing sometimes? I’m not trying to land on anything other than flat land. At first I thought it was a mechanic that stops you landing within a certain distance of the search objective or something but it’s not always on a mission.

I haven’t played since last October, and when I hopped on tonight I noticed my storage is no longer connected to a landing pad. Before I remember when you went to build a storage container near a landing pad, it snapped, and a little bridge/platform would connect the two. Has that been changed?

So is there any rhyme or reason to the space stations, or is everyone just hopping from station to station, looking for the right number of Supercharged slots?
I know some people are posting glyphs, but I’m wondering if anyone has figured out any kind of pattern.
Also, FWIW, the refiner exploit works for ship parts… 😜
It IS kind of fun to hunt for parts, though.
