After dozens of hours, I present my Atlas base!

I had an unreasonable amount of time to kill over the summer and found this sweet location on a dissonant planet after obtaining my sentinel interceptor. Playing around with cuboid rooms, I made the insane decision to build my own Atlas, not knowing just how much time I’d sink into it. After the latest update, I changed the formerly lackluster main level into a screening/entertainment area (full credit to my brilliant daughter for the idea to use the autophage heads as movie projectors!). The botany/garden is upstairs on the middle floor, and an apartment on the top floor. I’m especially proud of my bathroom and kitchen 😀 Please enjoy!

I just love this game

I’m at work so no screenshots rn, but: I’m working on a build on a planet with very gentle triceratops as the main fauna. Like these guys are so chill that if you accidentally clip them while mining they don’t run or get angry, they just calmly mosey away.

Yesterday, though, I set down a floor tile too close to a group of their babies. The adults ALL went into predator mode and I had to run for my life. Tossing creature pellets only worked for a few seconds. They stayed mad for a good ten minutes; I finally had to save and reboot so I could get back to the build.

12/10, would not approach the babies again but I LOVE IT

Thank you to whoever put down a base at the quicksilver weekend mission location.

With how mindlessly people bandwagon things, lord knows that spot would probably be completely inaccessible with comballs if someone hadn’t put down a base. I normally think they’re neat, but there were so many comballs at this location that I could barely even target the corrupted sentinels there. This is really shitty behavior on the part of the community, considering how much of an annoyance these can be to other players in a spot like this.

Like, if you really want to have a big funny field of messages, park it off to the side where people can CHOOSE to go get ambushed with a bunch of random comments. Have some decency.
