Hi I just started playing No mans Sky like genuinely for the first time and I got rare ships?

So I started Playing NMS genuinely for the first time and I was in a space station and two of these dumb looking ships landed simultaneously I bought them cuz I wanted to be like

"Hahaha Squid ship." To my friend who plays the game with me turns out these are super rare?

I didn't have coordinates or anything as I still don't even have portals I just started watching YouTube vids on the game for the first time ever and everyone is saying

"People hunt for hundreds of hours looking for it and most don't ever find it."

I just wanted to know are these really rare I can prove I don't have portals if possible, I've attached my current missions to show I haven't gotten to far into the game I have like 50 or so hours in the game on my steam is says 157 but I left the game on after falling asleep assuming that was the only way for my O2 farm to work if I was online

Where did all these credits come from?

I’m new to the game, something like 26 hours in. I recovered like 4 ships just to scrap for a money boost of around 35 mil or something.

When I scrapped them, credits didn’t go up. Then later as I was organizing inventory, I realized I have to sell the retrieved scrap components to get the credits. So I sold all of them and walked away with over 1 BILLION credits….

I don’t know what happened. I recall at some point in my play gathering stuff from a wrecked freighter on a planet, destroying a frigate in battle, etc, but over 1 BILLION worth?

Is that amount of money normal through storyline+random gameplay or did a bug of some sort perhaps occur?

100 hours on the Nintendo Switch version of No Man's Sky, my thoughts.

Firstly I’ve have got to admit I have a long history with Elite, played the original in 84, spent about four years playing Frontier: Elite II on the Amiga and currently playing Elite Dangerous on a Series X.

I briefly played the PS4 version of NMS for an hour and got a refund.

Anyway, I’ve been playing the Switch version mode in TV mode and handheld mode, everything’s been generally good! Super impressed with the performance, I’m over 100 hours in and have experienced minor issues with a couple of softlocks and lag on a few occasions (in areas of lots things being drawn to the screen at once).

I’ve got everything down in terms of game logic and progess, although things are a bit confusing at the start, but follow the tutorial (story) for a while and you soon get to grips with the absolute mountain of content this game has been updated with since release (all free).

I find the interaction with the npc characters and the delivery of the story quite refreshing, interesting concept and very broad considering this is a huge procedurally generated game world.

Graphics are fairly solid, if a bit low poly and “okay” textures, draw distance is a bit limited but there’s a lot going on here so there’s gotta be sacrifices for performance.

Sound effects are good and the soundtrack is suited to the games setting, it nicey adapts to whats going on the screen… a lot the tunes are pretty chill, feels almost like minecraft sometimes.

Referencing the old school, I would give this 92%

Edit: I have no idea of how well I’m doing but I’ve got plenty of money and a few basic farms running. A nice exotic S class ship and my frigates are running missions. I quickly became confident enough to ignore the quests and just focused on exploring and making money. Like minecraft in a way, i grind, build and gather resources.

I am absolutely blown away by how good this runs on Switch

I’ve got about 2000 hours between Xbox and PC. I bought the Switch version on launch and it was so-so. I mean I didn’t really expect MUCH in the way of performance.

Must have been one of the recent updates, but holy HELL how did the developers do this!? Between game engine optimization and the raw talent of the HG team, I am beside myself.

I don’t want to reach too deep into my pocket full of dreams but I hope Light No Fire comes to Switch as well. I was literally about to sell my OLED last week until I fired up NMS again.
