While searching for interceptors, I came across a Space Station with an A-class cabinet. Figured I would do a reload on the corrupted planet, just to see … AND it gave me the coolest looking Alien Blaster I’ve ever found. Black crystals, grey bod…

I mean, I’ve been browsing this subreddit for a few days now, and all I’ve read about the story is, either it’s incomprehensible, it sucks, or at best it’s interesting, but nothing more.
Being a big sci-fi fan, I find the game’s story a kind of mix between Matrix, Mass Effect and 2001: A Space Odyssey.
What I like most of all in the stories is the mystery. Not the complete mystery where you don’t understand anything, but the mystery that makes you ask questions, that lets the viewer (or actor in the case of a video game) imagine what could have happened off-screen.
And NMS does this very well. The story answers a number of questions, but leaves the player to make up his or her own mind about key points of the story.

IMO one of the most vibrant aspects of the NMS community is the multitude of Ship/Capital Ship/Planet/Companion hunters out there that post on YouTube and in the Glyph Exchange. This activity provides a huge amount of community engagement while feeding into the main *exploration* element of the core game. If HG implements ship customization, this part of the full NMS experience could disappear or be diminished to near irrelevance. Here’s what I think could be a good alternative: We could simply tap into the amazing dynamic that the players have already created on their own and set up a Glyph Exchange Interface in the Space Anomaly. I think the perfect place would be the unused computer interface in the middle of the blueprint vendor area behind Nada and Polo. This would actually supercharge exploration and give players a great chance to find the ships they want. It could include a search function based on the player-named parts (with visual icons). We could use this to search for glyphs for all of the most exciting things we all love in the game: Ships, Capital Ships, Planets, and Companions… plus anything else they add in the future. It’s just a thought… hopefully this idea could catch on. Edit: additional thoughts: It could also be great to implement five or so “Scouting Guilds”… you join the Guild of your choice and as Guild members post up Glyphs to the in-game exchange they gain standing on a leaderboard. submitted by /u/meat-juice |

I have a system that had 34 bases majority of which were on one planet. When I logged in today it said 28, It’s possible that 6 people deleted their bases overnight but I’m just wondering if bases are deleted or at least not shown for performance or an…

They all seem to contradict each other, so it is a bad idea to install all of them at the same time? For example, “hi-slide suspension” and “grip boost suspension” both decrease forwards grip by -50%, but then drift suspension increases it by 200…
