Sure, it can be exciting to mess around with, but when you actually HAVE to do it…16 times? It sucks.

Break an egg and then desperately try to grab the core before it rolls away, gets obscured by the swarm, it fades away, you get knocked sub orbital, or just outright killed.

Then do it 15 more times. Assuming you got the core.

I think it’s telling that most people use the tunnel gimmick to collect them. And that STILL doesn’t guarentee you’ll get them.

Even without the swarm, the fact that it rolls away and fades after like 1.5 second makes it hard to grab them. Not sure if that’s easier on PC, but it sucks on PS4.

I never minded them till this expedition made them necessary. But DAMN im over it. The swarm shouldn’t activate till you actually pick up the core. That would make it more like the hadal cores and the anglerfish.

Sorry for the rant, but i just finished that challenge and like wow… not really fun or worth it.
