Okay, so been playing this game for a few weeks now with some friends (on PS4) and the one thing that has kind of been annoying is when we want to travel to a new system to explore together.

I’m aware of the Anomaly method of allowing people in a group to instantly come to your system, but there doesn’t seem to be any way for a group to do this in game (as Freighters are subject to extreme problems and apparently not advised to be used as a taxi service)

The issue with this obviously being if people are in a group but in different systems, it could potentially be exploited and abused for quick easy travel for multiple people (yes I know, I managed to say that with a straight face despite portals and gateways being a thing).

So, that got me to thinking, how could it work, potentially if something like this were implemented. Starbases wouldn’t work because not every system has a starbase. But what about something that could be constructed and then deployed while in space, like a satellite?

A player deploys it, then the group each activate it, syncing them together and allowing the one who deployed it to set a jump destination based on the minimum jump distance range of the group.

This would allow groups to jump together to other systems, and be a fun little project for groups who enjoy building communities within the game.

That or, just, you know, if they fixed it so people could ride in freighters without getting glitched.

I took down an ordinary pirate… and it dropped some kind of starship component the game assured me was only for selling. So I went to the station and sold them.

…but it dropped two full stacks of 60. 600 million per stack. I thought I was doing well to have built up a couple million. Suddenly I had 1.2 billion.

I’ve been playing this game for four days. That… that’s rare, right? because that seemed to come from out of the clear blue — err, black I suppose.
