Ancient Ruins!
TIL another cool feature of ancient ruins. I had started a survival-mode playthrough and was getting to the very first stages of constructing a base to have a shelter available from the environment. Earlier I’d found an ancient ruin and I decided to drop a base computer right next to it. Long story short, I discovered the entire flat circular area around the ruins was basically treated as a big building by the game. No weather or storm damage! Pretty nice in the early game when I have yet to upgrade the old exosuit! 😄

[re building a base] pro tips for regretful moments
I have to admit, after 35 hrs in, I have yet to build any sort of real base. Horror stories of the environment destroying structures and the sheer impressive design of some of you folks, i just can’t be bothered haha
But now that I have a bit more time on my hands, what are so pro tips on major set backs you have had as a builder that I should consider now?
