Just wanted to share this because I think many folks here would appreciate it.
I have NMS on PSVR1 and still prefer to play it this way, despite the blurriness (although the latest update appears to have improved it a lot, even on my headset). And I saw a post here about how it’s the experience of being there that makes all the difference, compared to flat screen, which I agree with.
The day after the recent update dropped, I tried the game again because I hadn’t played in a while and I saw in the release notes that there were graphical updates “for all VR platforms”. I thought there was an immediate difference, IMO, and it all looked much better compared to how I remembered it (this is the PS4 version), but then…
There came a point where I got the “incoming storm” message, so I jumped into my ship. I must have spent 5 minutes just chilling, waiting for the storm to end, and watching the toxic rainfall through the windows. But the thing is, I felt cosy and warm, just as if I was sitting at home on a rainy day!
I had to tell my wife about it, because I’ve never had a game evoke that kind of feeling before (and I’ve been gaming for over 40 years).
Has anyone else experienced that effect in NMS, and/or VR games, in general?
