I’m going hunting for new ships and multitools, thinking jumping in a black hole will take me to some dissonant system across the galaxy like it has before. But lately, it’ll send me across the galaxy but into a discovered area. Like all the systems around. Maybe I just need to hit a new galaxy… but there’s no way Euclid it’s anywhere near fully discovered.

For me for a very long time it was fighters, they look good they play good and they are strong, now i am thinking of switching to interceptors/sentinel ships because of the look and the hover ability that lets you actually stand in spot while on planet…

PVP is turned ON by default and while most of the community is pretty chill there is always that one troll that doesn’t know when to quit. Remember if you die 3 times in a row you’ll lose your suit inventory and the inventory of your current ship, even if you recover your grave.
So if you want to play in Multi-player but don’t want to live dangerously go into the game’s menu and under the Network tab set PVP to NO ONE or FRIENDS ONLY.
Edit: Some civilizations have PVP events/areas so setting PVP to Friends only will allow you to join in by adding “enemies” to your friends list, at least temporally, without leaving you open to attack by random strangers.

Just got back into the game after a break. Last time i got bored of it and maybe i am playing the game "wrong". (Ofc there is no real way of playing it wrong) but how do you explore planets? I usually land at some curiosity place or use a map…

So here’s what I was thinking. You can hire an NPC to your squadron from any space station for example, right? Now what happens if BEFORE hiring them I buy their ship by swapping it with one of my ships that I would be scrapping otherwise? Will I get THAT ship to join my squadron?
Obviously it depends on the pilot too how well they will do in a fight, but this way I could have a squadron made up of Living Ships or fully equipped Sentinel Interceptors, right? Or, in theory I can claim the Starborn Runner as many times as I want if I’ve finished the expedition, can I just keep selling a Starborn Runner by swapping with them AND hire said pilot equipped with the Starborn Runner now? Can I have a full squadron of them?
I’ll test this out soon with a sentinel that I’d scrap otherwise and get back to you, but if this works I think it is huge, so much potential to create an amazing fight squadron this way!
