Tricked into player base trap?

I don’t know if anyone has ever encountered this, but I believe I just got trolled into a death loop at a player base. The full story is that I teamed up with a random player at the Nexus, and he took me to his player base, at which there were numerous save points one of which he insisted I use. So if I die, my latest spawn point would be inside the base. This is what did me in. The nuance of this base is that it is always subjected to extreme, heat, both in the above ground “box” section and the belowground cave/hell section. The former has exactly one exit that you can take, which upon you trying to use teleports you into the cave section, despite ostensibly looking just like a regular building exit. The cave then proceeds to cook you completely. It is also impossible to dig out of this base or edit it because both the cave and base are technically the other player’s property. Is there any way to escape this? I would really hate to have this character wasted in essentially a troll trap :/

We should have another ocean update anyone agree?

Ever since we got the ocean update it was great, but with some base ideas and opening my eyes the oceans suck. First of all there ridiculously shallow if your going to make a specific excoraft for being underwater give it purpose because everybody can just buy 1 or 2 S class oxygen upgrades and you completely defeat the reason for having the nautilon thats why hello games should make the oceans vastly deeper to give better places to build bases and to give the nautilon purpose.

Secondly improve the wildlife and plants underwater every time I for some reason go into the oceans of a random planet I always see the same godamn stone or prism underwater I know this happens on land and yes its annoying to see the same animal or rock all the time. For the wildlife I recommend hello games take a look at some animals from barotrauma or subnautica for the simple reason of how big and vast the creatures are but also because the creatures of both of these animals give a sense of genuine fear and to not go close to said creature but in nms jellyfish simply dont cut it.

I think another reason to add this is to think of the possibilities of having long forgotten sentinel archives or crashed freighters in a pitch black while a creature roars in the distance, mabey adding another exocraft for exploring the deep meanwhile the nautalon is designed for shallow operations.

Anyways that’s what I think could be tweaked or added in an update that I think lots of base builders and players would greatly enjoy what do you guys think?

Are you happy with current procedural generation?

To start with, I’ve been playing since the release, I love nms dearly. It was an hard pill to swallow for me to accept the game kind of gets boring. I love exploring and I don’t dwell much on the base building, trading aspects of the game. As such the game right now doesn’t really make me want to explore to be honest.

Just wanted to know if any of you feel the same or am I just too much focused on this?

Will we ever be able to cultivate foodstuff plants?

It always bothered me somewhat that we have these plants we can cultivate for the purpose of building or crafting further items (or making loads of money on the market in the case of NipNip buds), but the plants you want to gather from for ingredients remain wild and untamed.

It’d be nice to be able to set up a farm base proper or have a microfarm on a freighter for your heptaloid wheats or impulse beans…

Let me map planets

I wish the planets had an actual map in the discovery screen, where you could see each waypoint discovered and spin the globe. I feel like it would very simply add a lot of depth to a shallow experience So many things they could flesh out in this game…
