I am lost in space and I kinda love it

I’m 90 minutes in. I have a hut, and couldn’t find enough buried tech on my planet, so I took off. Somehow I locked on to some faraway plant and blasted off. I watched on my dashboard what appeared to be my super speed juice slowly drain under 20%. “What happens when I get to 0%?”, I thought. I soon found out. My ship screeches to a halt in the middle of space. “That nearby planet looks close! Oh 2 days travel, never mind.” Lost in space and no idea what I’m supposed to be doing.

Am I winning or losing? All I know is I’m having a blast!

Will we ever be able to cultivate foodstuff plants?

It always bothered me somewhat that we have these plants we can cultivate for the purpose of building or crafting further items (or making loads of money on the market in the case of NipNip buds), but the plants you want to gather from for ingredients remain wild and untamed.

It’d be nice to be able to set up a farm base proper or have a microfarm on a freighter for your heptaloid wheats or impulse beans…
