NMS HOT POST 2022/12/31

[EUCLID] – Want to make ~350 million credits? I have set up everything you need! Trade Route including 23 different materials depots and a Stasis Farm to make 20 Devices, all located in 3 systems for easy use!

Hi everyone, with so many new travellers this holiday season, I thought I might offer some help. For your convenience, I have set up a profitable Trade Route as well as a Stasis Farm along with 23 different Gas and Mineral Extractors all located within 3 systems in the Euclid galaxy.

You will need to use a Portal for initial travel to each system, so I've added a quick guide in case you don't know how.

To find a portal :

  1. Go to any inhabited system and buy an economy scanner at the Anomaly if you don't already have one.
  2. Once the economy scanner is installed, head to the Space Station and visit the Cartographer. Choose Exchange Maps (1 Navigation Data) and purchase 3 Alien Cartographic Data.
  3. Launch into space and access the quick menu / utilities to scan for a trade outpost.
  4. Land at the trade outpost and Plot Route using the Alien Cartographic Data. You are looking to find an Alien Monolith. If you don't find one on the first try, use another Alien Cartographic Data until you do.
  5. Exit your ship and talk to one of the landed pilots at the trade outpost. Buy either a Korvax Casing / Vy'keen Dagger / Gek Relic depending on what type of system you are in. This is a gift you'll need for the Monolith.
  6. Fly to the Monolith and exit your ship. Interact with the Monolith and answer the question you are given. If correct, you will have the option to give the gift to the Monolith to locate a portal. If incorrect, reload your last save and try again.
  7. Head to the portal.

To use a portal :

  1. If you don't have all 16 Glyphs yet, Here is a quick method to get them all. YouTube also has plenty of short videos on the subject.
  2. You will need the following materials to open the portal : 32 Oxygen, 32 Sodium, 64 Cobalt and 64 Copper
  3. Enter the 12 Glyph combination of the location you want to jump to.
  4. Close your eyes and step into the portal.

Listed below are the Glyphs for each system and what resource depots are set up. Each mineral depot holds 9,750 resources, and each gas depot holds 10,000. I suggest you set up your own base with at least a Galactic Trade Terminal and a Base Teleport Module in each system. This way you can easily visit whenever you need more resources or some quick cash. I have also highlighted the resources you want to pick up if you are interested in crafting Stasis Devices.

Bekino 3.1 – Green System GLYPHS

  • Activated Emeril
  • Ammonia
  • Cobalt👈
  • Emeril
  • Nitrogen👈
  • Pyrite
  • Silver

Unzent 3.2 – Blue System GLYPHS

  • Activated Indium
  • Dioxite👈
  • Indium
  • Paraffinium👈
  • Phophorus👈
  • Rusted Metal
  • Salt
  • Sodium
  • Sulphurine👈

Etiates 3.3 – Red System GLYPHS

  • Activated Cadmium
  • Cadmium
  • Gold
  • Magnetised Ferrite
  • Oxygen
  • Radon👈
  • Uranium

*Unfortunately no Copper or Activated Copper as they are found in Yellow Systems.

How to use the trade route once you've set it up:

  1. Buy all the trade goods at your base in system 3.1
  2. Teleport and sell them at your base in system 3.2, then buy all in 3.2
  3. Teleport and sell them at your base in system 3.3, then buy all in 3.3
  4. Teleport and sell them in your base in system 3.1
  5. Profit ~25-30 million credits!

If you are interested in crafting Stasis Devices, it will take you a little more time to set up. You will need 22 recipes which cost 250 nanites each. They are purchased from the Synthesis Laboratory in the Anomaly. If you need some nanites to complete this, head to an outlaw system and land at the station. Go to the Contraband Agent and buy all the Suspicious Packet (Arms) and Suspicious Packet (Tech) you can. Unpack and sell all the Suspicious Modules you get to the Salvage Dealer until you have enough nanites to buy all the recipes listed below.

Once you are ready, head to the Stasis Device Farm. It's located at coordinates +54.40 +33.02 on the planet Nuburbar Sigma in the Etiates 3.3 system. It's just a quick flight north from my portal base. It holds all the flora needed to craft 20 Stasis Devices. There is also an Oxygen depot down on the ground by the electrical generators. When you have collected resources from the 7 depots I mentioned above, you will need to refine 6,000 Condensed Carbon and 3,000 Ionised Cobalt. Don't forget that Oxygen refines into Carbon. Also, if Oxygen is added to any kind of Carbon or Cobalt refining, it will increase the output. The Stasis Farm has plenty of refiners, so it shouldn't take too long. Run the refiners while you collect the flora, will save you some time.

When you have everything ready, start crafting in this order:

  • 40 x Nitrogen Salt / Enriched Carbon / Thermic Condensate
  • 20 x Semiconductor
  • 20 x Superconductor
  • 20 x Hot Ice
  • 20 x Cryo-Pump
  • 20 x Heat Capacitor
  • 20 x Poly Fibre
  • 20 x Circuit Board
  • 20 x Quantum Processor
  • 20 x Lubricant
  • 100 x Glass
  • 20 x Living Glass
  • 20 x Cryogenic Chamber
  • 20 x Aronium / Grantine / Magno-Gold
  • 20 x Iridesite
  • 20 x Stasis Device

Sell the Stasis Devices for ~320 million credits!

Now that you are rich and can travel to any system in the galaxy, be sure and check out the NMS Coordinate Exchange for Glyphs to a fantastic variety of Multitools and Spaceships. Upgrading your new toys will burn through all your credits very quickly, so once you have your 3 bases set up, come back and make ~350 million credits whenever you need.

Good luck, have fun !!!

Brought my first ship

Brought my first ship

I’ve started playing a week ago and I’m loving the details of this game.

This ship I especially love:

Solar sails are so cool. It’s shape is familiar to the Naboo Starfighters but adds some cool protrusions on to it. When the sails deploy in space it makes a noise similar to the howl from the Star Wars speeder bike boosts!

Can’t wait to see what else I encounter!

Exotic ship location

Exotic ship location

Hi there folks. After quite a while ship-hunting on my own for a new exotic to add to my collection,I managed to find this beauty. It spawned straight away at an outlaw station as I landed, and I’m very satisfied with this one. Glyphs there at the bottom of the screenshot so you guys can have a look for yourself if you’re interested in picking one up. Happy hunting, Travellers !

I've only hopped galaxies once. Does one to recollect glyphs?

A few years ago I finished a few of the storylines (I’m pretty sure that Atlas and I came to an agreement) and I ended up with all 16 glyphs then. I travelled to the 2nd galaxy, found my ship, then logged off. Haven’t been back to that save since. If I logged in would I have to get 16 new glyphs? Like, I think the symbols are all the same but would I have to collect them again?

New Player Here. Got gifted ~250 million Units in the Anomaly on my first visit to it. Wondering wha...

The title is what happened. I discovered the anomaly, was meeting all of the iterations, and then I saw some fellow Travelers and I started using finger gun emotes and jumping around. One of them said some stuff in Cyrillic that I didn’t understand and then filled my inventory with items that were worth more than 1000x my total earnings at that point.

I’ve played enough games like this to know that the struggle to survive and build your own equipment and base is kind of the point. So I haven’t sold anything — I just put it all in storage and have been playing as if I didn’t have it. Figured I would ask you all if you have any advice.

Is there anything you WOULD recommend spending it on? Maybe an annoying and non-immersive part of the new player experience that I can circumvent with a Scrooge McDuck swimming pool of money?
