If you haven’t seen them yet, grab a pirate-hunting mission and check them out. Your space battles will feel twice as epic as they did yesterday.
To whoever at Hello Games decided to add this bit of greatness to a random patch on a Wednesday morning: Thank you.

Let me preface by saying that any new free content, on a game of No Mans Sky age, should be welcomed and appreciated…regardless of what’s entailed within it. So I am very appreciative of Hello Games continued support and development of No Mans Sky.
With that out of the way let’s get down to the reason behind this post. I am a day one player of NMS, and own the game on (3) platforms. I love where it started at ( yes even on day one amazingly ) and I loved almost all, if not all, content drops since.
Let’s be real though, NMS hasn’t really given its veteran community any substantial content in the last (2) content drops. Some would contend that expeditions are content, and sure they are, for those that enjoy expeditions….some don’t and I’m real big against time locked rewards of any kind…especially if those time locked rewards are pit behind tedious repetitive content walls.
I understand that Hello Games needed to address Switch players problems and bring that version into line with other versions, as well as PSVR, but what about is that have been around for years?
Ultimately limited content updates like this one will not keep me from playing one of the most impactful games of the last decade, but Id be remised if I didn’t say I was disappointed. We all love this game and want this game to continue to grow, let’s just hope that sooner than later we get an update that actually adds content for the vets still playing the game.

I’m playing this morning, cataloging animals, when I spot a Predator Diplo standing over two dead Grazer Diplos. Yeah I know, circle of life and all that; it didn’t stop me from killing the Predator anyway. Sometimes it just bothers me, maybe because the prey is often cute.
So three dead animals are sitting on the ice and snow and part of me thinks “I don’t like this, just leaving them out like this”. So through a combination of digging under them and Creating terrain over them, I effectively buried them.
I don’t think Hello Games ever thought about players doing that . . .

Somebody’s turned a trade outpost into a base and stuck this huge skull on it. I want one! What is this, a mod or something? Anybody seen one of these before? submitted by /u/Showmebobs |

I used to have expeditions take from 1 hour to 4. And now my shortest timed expedition is 5 hours and the other 4 are 20+ hours. Can anyone help explain why tf that happened? It was fun doing two-4 expeditions in a day. submitted by /u/I…

I’m a collector, and I like keeping unique things. I have a couple of expedition ships, as well as the Atlas Staff from the last expedition. The staff and ships are not in my regular use pool of stuff, but getting rid of them appears to mean that I can’t ever get them back. At the expedition rewards vendor, all these things say “previously claimed.” which I’m assuming means they’re one and done. With such a small number of ships and MT’s that we’re able to keep (relative to the massive number of cool looking stuff you can collect.) I feel like a lot of very precious space is getting eaten up by keeping these unique things.
I feel stuck between a rock and hard place. I want to keep the cool looking unique stuff that I don’t think I can get back if I scrap, but I also would like more room.
Even if we can’t keep anything other than the most essential tech on them in “storage” I think it would be great if we had some way to keep more than just 6 MTs and 12 ships. For a game that’s primarily about seeing everything and discovering stuff, we don’t get much in the way of space for the things that matter.

I wish there could be a Visitor’s Book available at your camps/bases. Would be neat who, if any, dropped in. submitted by /u/martusfine [link] [comments]
