Does anyone else have fun trying to build a base with practical power

I love finding an energy hot spot, setting up a bunch of electromagnetic generators, and wiring them to a building right next to it with a series of switches, a main switch and then a switch per building in my base.

Then each building has its own electric closet that has a main switch distributing power to other switches. Then those ones send power to my wall switches that control lights, doors etc. a closet per floor stacked right on top of the lower floors.

I know it’s completely unnecessary given how electrical equipment works in the game but idk…it feels so satisfying.

I was curious if anyone else did anything similar.
