How to lose or discourage a player from following my friends and I?

Maybe a bit of a strange question. My friends and I know this guy and he’s basically a stalker.

That’s the long and short of it.

I played around 100 hours of No Man’s sky and they decided to start playing it again and my friends have been looking for another game to play multiplayer with so we all joined and started playing.

Within one day of playing, and me streaming it once, this guy who basically is stalking me and my friends, saw in my stream and immediately showed up while my friend was playing last night and started harassing her, messing with her base, he built a base next to her, and now she wants to leave and go make another base somewhere else and not be found. She told me he was bringing sentinels into her bace, she doesn’t know how to really play super well yet and fight, and he started building around her stuff, trying to chat her up and it was making her uncomfortable. He kept requesting that she go to voice chat and she kept refusing and trying to hint she wasn’t interested. He then friended her in game but she refused to friend him back.. I know all this because she called me in the middle of night on discord complaining about it to me.

Unfortunately this guy used to be my friend so he does know where some of my stuff is but if we all were to move, and go somewhere else, what’s the stop him from following us again and keep trying to build bases near us and harass people?

I don’t think there’s a block feature, I’m just wondering if there’s some ways I could use to avoid him? And at the same time are there things I can do in the game to make him have a very uncomfortable experience anytime he’s around us so that he stops wanting to harass me and my friends?

I don’t know why no man’s sky doesn’t have a block player feature. This guy definitely keeps trying to bring drama in with me and my friends when when he’s gone no one has any problems with one another.

My friends are enjoying this game immensely, and this is a mother and her child and some of her family including now her father might want to play, but now this development has sort of put a dampener on things and I would like everybody to enjoy the game experience as much as possible without this guy mucking everything up, which he definitely will try to do knowing him. Everyone already tried telling him in the past they were not interested in talking to him anymore and even stopped communicating so showing up at my friends base and trying to force an interaction and basically move next store was definitely creepster level.

About phylosophy of No Man's Sky (story spoilers)

I didn’t expect the plot of this game to capture my attention as it did, but it touches upon one of my favourite phylosophical topics. This game is very hard of phylosophy of existentialism and Nietzchean nihilism. It quite literally tackless the idea of death of god. But if Nietzche meant it in metaphorical way, on a sense of how one can find meaning in life where there’s no god, but No Man’s Sky takes a more literal approach. God is quite literally dying and you are faced with the idea of your own mortality and finality of the universe. Also, we find out that Altals is an AI that simulates the world, thus mirroring Nietzschean idea of ‘dead god’. We are not some beings created by a divine master with a plan, we are here just because we happened to be here. But in the case of Travellers, they were actually created by a diety with a plan, but their existance in the end is meaningless in a similiar way, because they’re nothing more than simulations in the mind of a dying machine. Here’s where the idea of Nietzschean ‘overhuman’ and nihilism comes in. The core idea of nihilism is belief in no god and the finality of your existance, it’s directed towards accepting the fact that you won’t be here for an eternity and that you should make peace with nothing that may come after. The ‘overhuman’ of Nietzsche is an individual that is capable of setting their own goals and morals, deciding for themselves what they should do with their life in the face of absense of a higher divine purpose. The main question of phylosophy of overhuman is how can one be happy in the world where there’s no higher purpose and no life after death? How one can fight against existential terror that comes with understanding of you own mortality? Even Atlas faces their own finality and are terrified of it. This is the core idea of No Man’s Sky and it is fascinating!

What If Hello Games Added Gas Giants To No Man's Sky?

What If Hello Games Added Gas Giants To No Man's Sky?

My idea for a Gas Giant; one could spawn per system (with like a 40% chance of spawning in a system) and it could harbor 2-3 moons. But what would make this interesting is the moons that it could harbor would be more unique and far larger than the moons currently in the game, basically planets trapped in this giant’s orbit. Now you’re probably thinking how the gas giant would actually work since its, you know, made of gas. My idea is when you drive your ahip inside the gas giant, its a huge storm that decreses visability and can damage your ship if you’re not careful. But the plus side to this massive risk is you can find rare recourses in bulk, enticing players to actively take that risk. Idk, just somwthink ive been thinking about 😄

Just a Quick Appreciation

While I struggle with anxiety so it is difficult for me to egg myself into the multiplayer scene in the game, I just have to applaud ALL of you guys. This is the most non-toxic gaming community I think I’ve ever seen and I have been a gamer for a goood…

Too Many Low Difficulty Frigate Expeditions

I re-boarded my freighter after a lengthy reconnaissance mission and wanted to send my frigates out.

So, I visit The Navigator, and he gives me the list of expeditions (not Expeditions) and it’s all low star trips, three 2** and two 1*.

Would love to see more 3‘s, as well as any 4* and 5*****, which I’ve never seen. What’s up with that?

That’s all.

Gray, over and out.
