What if Hello Games allowed us to build our own ships.
Playing starfield solely for the shipbuilding recently it is amazing apart from everything else and I thought NMS would become far more creative if we was allowed to create our own starship.
Using resources if playing on survival, destroyed ships could give out their own form of "ship parts" which can then be used with common resources to "craft" your own ship. You could choose the type (fighter, hauler, etc) and then using the procedural modular parts from that type create your own ship within limits of course. Be able to change the colours & trim based upon preference using sliders also could be added.
Maybe leave out the ability to customise found ships, but be able to scan ships to gain the knowledge to craft those parts at the starship creator. Exotics are excluded also.
A thought and maybe a suggestion to hello games if they ever consider it,
