Hi everyone I am absolutely blown away by the response to my post regarding “Ritchies planet” my memorial for my dad it is really amazing and beautiful!! I know the majority of you want me to post the glyphs so you can visit and pay respects which I found absolutely amazing and was on-board with this 100%. Unfortunately there was 1 comment that made me re think this and as much as I’d love for you all to visit, that 1 comment made me realise that for every 100 amazing travellers there will be 1 who wants to ruin it! So for this reason and I hope you all understand, I will be keeping the glyphs private so that my brother and I can build our memorials to our dad without anyone disrespecting it. You have given us amazing ideas to work with and even shared your own stories of loss which has been very touching so thank you! We can’t wait to start our builds so for this I am ever thankfull, I will be posting pictures of the finished build on here eventually we just want to keep it private as we don’t want to risk it being ruined, we hope you all understand and again thank you all so much!! This really is the best community you are all AMAZING!!!

I got a ridiculously good S-class freighter for free on my second encounter with a freighter battle. I accepted it. It’s the type with the pylons in front of the launch bay – I would post a screenshot but whenever I do a printscreen it captures the desktop instead for some reason.

I’m pretty new to NMS so feel a bit spoiled, as though a major goal has just been handed to me…anyone else ever get this feeling? I am considering downgrading to a humble B-class or something. Would I lose my (extremely humble) freighter base if I do this? Am I wasting time building it?

Sometimes the loneliness the game makes me feel is incredibly wild, I will go from happily exploring and building, to suddenly being hyper aware of how I’m bascially on a life sized planet populated by a bunch of npcs with the intellectual capacity of a tamagotchi. The nearest person probably a billion km away..

Kinda flowing between loving and hating it the feeling. I have found myself many times, just shutting the game down if it feels too intense!

I built an orbital base I’m really proud of. It features lots of floating gas extractors. I picked a planet where the sky is always a foggy purple / blue. I find this makes the orbital base look higher since you can’t really see the ground.

I want to build another base to fly to but I can only upload one. I was wondering if anyone wanted to build on my world? I think it would be great to have a world of orbital bases.
