I love how you can can now build a mechanic business, either buying starships and scraping them for parts or finding downed ships and scraping them to sell the parts to customers.

Hello to all of my fellow space-faring specimens, hope you all are well today 🙂
Just started back again and I’m looking for any help in the folowing:
Portal glyphs(have 2/16)
Bare essential buidling mats to take with me for a base(mat breakdown)
Not so obvious trade routes for illegal goods(I’m only netting like 3% profit)
My end goal of course is to go to another galaxy. I’m thinking of a harsh as I have some repair kits saved up for the damaging journey, I’m just wanting a living ship/frigate atlas frigate, and a tentacle ship

Just as the title says.
A landable (it’s a word I’m sure) Orbital shipyard that spawns in the orbit (duh) of random planets.
Regular ships can and will land here as they do at trade stations but the lure is being able to craft your own freighter.
This includes all current freighter types and classes.
The initial build would probably be time gated somehow like expanding your settlement and the class is upgradeable by LOTS of nantes.
Discuss!

Don’t get me wrong, in terms of visual design, the ship designs in nms are pretty amazing across the board, even the old ones. But the new designs not only blow them out of the water visually, they have features that incentivize regular use from a game…

I saw another post about the stupidest, and was wondering what your best plays in this game have been? For me, it was on an expedition, where I ran out of life support gel on a mountain planet, and my ship was 15 minutes away from me. I realised that I was going to die far before I reached it, so I intentionally triggered a sentinel raid, and killed a few sentinels every minute. This let me recharge my shields consistently from the drops in combat, so despite constantly dying from having no oxygen, I was able to get to my ship safely.
What’s your story for the smartest thing you’ve done?

I have never seen a wingless sentinel ship. The game bugged allowing both of us to grab it. submitted by /u/joemessedup [link] [comments]

I’m on PS4 so unfortunately can’t communicate easily. I’d like to respect not tele-dumping unasked for items into people’s inventories, well-intentioned or not. Setting my title to “- the Generous” feels like such a failed flex instead of an invitation. Just earlier I made the mistake of waving / gesturing with “over here!” only to be bombarded with generosity from other players which was so wholesome but literally the opposite of what I wanted haha. Should I shelf my Santa-complex for now and trust that if other players wanted something they’d ask for it?
