I’ve seen with the 4.0 update and now the redux expeditions, along with quite a few posts that a lot of players are stressed about what they HAVE to get or do.

Don’t be a completionist. You don’t need the “best” freighter, ship, multi tool, or anything else. Just do what you want. Get the first freighter that’s free of it looks cool to you. Use a subpar multi tool because it does what you need. Build a lame 4 room base. It’s OK.

This whole game revolves around a story of repeated failing simulations in which the actions of those within really don’t matter. That gives you the freedom to do whatever you want. Don’t hamper your fun with obsessively reloading saves to get the “right” ship or freighter, just get what you want. Don’t stress about missing out on an expedition, all the rewards are pixels on a screen.

This isn’t against the completionist players or the min-maxers. If that’s what you WANT to do, I just see too many posts of people asking if they should do this or that, and you need to know this-

Started playing this game tonight, ended up on a toxic damp planet at the start. Go with the usual find things to keep your suit active and alive and eventually I wander into a cave system. At this point I have what I need to repair my ship, so I’m trying to get back to it. Found some gold in a stalagmite thingy so I got pretty excited about that. And as I continue to wander the cave system I see an odd plant. I pick up the plant and suddenly get a notification that sentinels are after me. Needless to say, I’m in a corner of this cave at my wits end cause I definitely was not ready for sentinels. I open my inventory and see a gravitino ball wort 40,024 units!! My jaw bout hit the floor. And there was 5 more just waiting for me. I was huddled in the cave a bit longer just waiting to get rkoed by a sentinel but nothing came and now I have to find my way out of this cave system.

Tldr: accidental exploration leads to 240,141 units of gravity balls and some gold and a very spooked space lad

Hello, all. I’ve been playing NMS since launch day, incidentally a month or so after my son was born. Loved it then, love it now. My son’s grown up arouns NMS and has started playing in creative mode over the last few years. NMS is basically the only game he plays. Whenever a new trailer drops he gets so excited and we watch it together, blah blah blah, father son bonding, blah blah blah, you get my drift. It’s been fun. I’m not big on the expeditions personally but I always do them so he can get whatever the new expedition rewards are. He makes sure of it. So many reminders. Which brings me to my current problem.

I completed the expedition for him that unlocked the Utopia Speeder. He was so excited, loves the ship. Well, unfortunately he sold it while trying to add a new ship to his collection and it’s gone. He doesn’t know which system he did it in and has saved multiple times since. He was devastated but has built so many bases he’s grown attached to that he doesn’t want to start a new save file to reclaim the ship he lost.

Does anyone know of a way I can transfer the Utopia Speeder from my own Survival Mode save file to him? I don’t really use it and am hoping someone can tell me there’s a way to help him out. Sorry if this is a lame question, go easy on me. We play on console. I figure its probably a lost cause but if anyone knows a solution it’d be you all.
