Shuttles can be made more powerful than Sentinels. 127k DPS / 147k DPS power to weapons (Normal enemy strength)

Shuttles can be made more powerful than Sentinels. 127k DPS / 147k DPS power to weapons (Normal enemy strength)

Tested by Arcane Traveller using a PS5 and NMS Orbital 4.63 on 08 April 2024

How to transfer a Sentinel Interceptor into a Shuttle (this works for transferring better stats and layouts to all ships):

Me * In the Space Station with a Shuttle (the ship I want to make stronger) as my primary ship.

Friend * Joins me in the Space Station. * Buys an NPC Ship (does not get in). * Leaves the space station in his original ship (leaving the NPC Ship at the Space Station). * Calls their freighter but does not fly into the freighter. If your friend’s name does not disappear from the NPC Ship they need to fly a bit farther and call the freighter again.

Me * Claim my friend’s NPC Ship for free when their name disappears from it. * Enter and exit to create a Restore Point. * Leave the Space Station in the NPC Ship and land on a planet (leaving the Shuttle at the Space Station). * Call my Sentinel Interceptor (fully upgraded with all tech desired). * Fly my Sentinel to the Space Station. * Get out of my Sentinel and re-enter my Shuttle. * Core values, SC layout, Sentinel core technology, and inventory from my Sentinel Interceptor are now copied to my Shuttle with the exception of core Maneuverability which remains the original value of the Shuttle. * My Sentinel Interceptor is sacrificed in the process. * Exit to create a Restore Point and Reload. * Core value of Sentinel Maneuverability is 245-302.5, Shuttle is 272.5-330; any Shuttle higher than 303 becomes superior to a Sentinel though they will not hover like a Sentinel.

WARNING:

The Sentinel Interceptor gets sacrificed in this process.

Update Wishlist: Functioning Star Systems

By now, a lot of the original promises for NMS have come true, and we are even getting new features that we haven’t dreamt of at release. However, there is still a fundamental gameplay element that’s missing. We need real physical stars, with planets oribitng around them. It’s so weird playing a space game in which stars are a skybox.

  • Functioning orbits would add a lot of realism. I am convinced that this one change would make space travel a lot more visceral and enjoyable in the game.
  • Imagine the potential for gameplay elements, like solar ships gaining speed near the star, or lore potential, with space megafauna being more common near the stars, etc.
  • It would also allow adding asteroid belts orbiting stars like our Kuiper belt, instead of asteroids being spread throughout.

I am curious to hear what are your ideas for gameplay mechanics, lore, and content that could be made possible by adding physical stars with functioning orbits into the game.

First time I feel like to live in a game...

Nothing more, that what I said, I will like to live inside NMS, in some relaxed mode, and I feel great peace in there….no kids asking “what we gonna eat?!” every day, no wife give in me problems, no accounts to pay…I really will like in other life something like that…. (it’s joke, I love my family!🤣😂😂) But I will like the same.
