NMS HOT POST 2021/05/13

So after 500 hours of exploring over 5 years I’ve finally got my No Man’s Sky tattoo! 🚀 I think I can speak for many of us on here saying this game got me through some of the darkest times in my life and now I feel like it will always be close to me 💙

Just devastated

So I have played no man’s sky since launch. Today I played a little fallout and the game crashed on me and it appears my playstations hard drive is dead. I haven’t had psplus in like a year as I have only played fallout or no man’s sky since 2016. I have lost hundreds of hours of no man’s sky across multiple saves. 🙁 When I fix my playstation I have to start all over. Thankfully polestar is about to redux again so I can get my beloved singularity drive back. It’s still devastation though. Good bye my beloved permadeath save I will miss you. Good bye my beautiful squid ship, good bye all my ships. I hope I find similar ones again. Sorry just had to vent because my wife and kids sure as heck don’t care lol 😭😭

Started playing again after getting bored of Starfield

So, I was extremely hyped for Starfield, and also got the collector’s edition, but for real, it’s like it’s not the game that makes me happy.

I started playing No Man’s Sky again (after three years without playing) and oh man… I forgot how good this game is, and how much I enjoy its exploration features.

I never finished the story, and of course never left Euclid, so that’s even better because now I’ll be discovering new things and getting more involved into it (knowing glyphs, different types of planets and galaxies…)

It’s like Starfield made me feel like No Man’s Sky is what I really wanted to play, but never figured it out. It’s weird actually…

But yeah! I’m texting this while navigating through a night glowing planet, haha.

Falling in love all over again...

For Reference: I pre-ordered No Man’s Sky when it was first announced specifically because they said it would support VR. I played it on the PS VR first generation and had a great time.

Flash Forward to today. I’ve had the PS VR2 for a couple of weeks, but no time to play it. This morning I fired up NMS and the VR2. If I didn’t need to stop to go to the bathroom I would still be there. I’m falling in love with VR and NMS all over again. The graphical upgrade, the haptics in the controllers and the headset, did I mention the graphics. The 3D audio with the Sony Headset is perfect, fits comfortably and sounds phenomenal.

All in All, I’m ecstatic! BRAVO!

Please let Light No Fire have VR support. I’m ready!

P.S. I love this so much, I posted it in the PSVR2 and Light No Fire subreddits as well.

Gardening is fun

This is my Stasis farm biologicals, a two minute run down the hall gives me enough to make almost 100 stasis devices at 15.6M units each. Couple that with my collection of S-class mines across 11 galaxies and you’ve got a moneymaking operation. …
