5 quick ideas to make hoarding and collecting stuff more interesting.

  1. Multi-tool cases to store all the multi-tools we find in the wild. Great for a weapon workshop builds or just decoration.
  2. Animal rooms: Rooms where we put an egg and a pet spawns inside. Could be options for multiple sizes and maybe multiple ecosystems. Bonus points if it’s also available in the freighter. Extra Bonus points for actual aquariums (like in subnautica for example)
  3. Animal beacons: a small device where we put an egg and a pet spawns and lives around it, the beacons can have multiple radius from 5 units to 200 or more. Allows for more versatility than the animal rooms. Great for Jurassic parks, zoo or reserves type of builds.
  4. Storage landing pads: act as containers, not actual landing pads. You store any one of your ships in it and it is displayed on it until you pick it up. Could be built inside, as a garage for example. The ship stored isn’t part your ship roaster anymore but can be reclaimed from the storage pad if needed.
  5. Ship miniaturizer : an alternative to the storage landing pad: you put one of your ship in it and it generates a model version of the ship. This model version can then be placed around your base. put the model version back in the miniaturizer to restore the ship and claim it.

extra idea: mannequins to display the various customization we can make to our exosuits. Could act as an extension of the appearance modifier.

Are you new player looking for some tips to get you started? Are you a veteran player with some advi...

Here’s some of the FAQ suggestions we received in our previous FAQ thread. Keep in mind that these are opinions from some of our valued OP’s and you may agree or disagree with some of these. We just ask that everyone remains respectful when replying to this thread and we look forward to your contribution! NMSTG Mod Team

You can also drop a quick tip!

Tip #1: Always try to be doing multiple things. Pick up the portable refiner so you can refine something from your inventory while exploring and mining.

Tip #2: Avoid multiplayer until unlocking the anomaly, can be stranded if not.

Tip #3: Exotic worlds only have 1 fauna so it’s easy to scan all of them.

Tip #4: Need glyphs? All 16 are on one planet here

Q- “I was on the Anomaly and a bunch of expensive stuff showed up in my inventory. What do I do with it? A:” Congrats! Another player has bestowed you with a gift. Most likely it is an item to sell for some quick and easy cash. Usually the item description will tell you what it is used for.

Q: “Help, I claimed a broken ship and now I can’t find my starter ship! Is it gone forever?” A:” If you merely selected to “claim” the broken ship and not “swap” it, then your old ship is still around. If you left it with launch fuel in the tank, you can summon it with the quick-menu. If it does not have fuel, it can be summoned on the Anomaly (once you unlock it), your freighter (once you acquire one).

Q- “Are crashed ships worth repairing?” A-” Unless it is an exotic, no. Scrap the ship at the space station, sell the items it gives you, and use those units to buy a better, working version of a ship in that system.

Q- “Any advice for new players?” A-“For new players, make sure you read the guide in-game. It’s an excellent beginner’s guide for traveling, learning about the alien races, building, and etc. Take a look over the catalogue of items too. Also, I’d strongly suggest mining a massive amount of carbon, oxygen, and sodium. These three items will be some of your most used and critical items in the game

Wishlist for future updates?

Hi, I have some suggestions which might make the game even more fun.

  • Add ships, shipwrecks and wrecked freighters to uninhabited systems. Sure they may be uninhabited, but that doesn’t mean never visited, a few crashes here and there wouldn’t be strange.

  • starship tech modules which increase the succes rate of the onboard scanner when scanning for planet locations. I’m looking straight towards that factory on-screen, why is my scanner ignoring it?

  • diversify planet color palets, plants and trees instead of making them biome dependant. Every frozen or hot planet, poisoned or radioactive planet and paradise planet looks the same, it’s getting repetitive! I’d love to find a frozen planet with giant mushrooms and pink snow, but it’s just not in the range of possibilities. I don’t know if that’s because the game is out on so many platforms, but if it is that sucks.

  • claim uninhabited systems for Gek, Korvax or the Vy’keen in favor of a faction boost. Let space stations be buildable for the claiming process by spending large amounts of all kind of resources.

  • a way to change ship while on board of a space station please.

  • a way to refresh missions, or a system that resets the missions after 24 hours.

  • buyable anomaly detectors somewhere at the Nexus.

Those are all I can think of at the moment. Maybe y’all want to add more?

Mock of how the exosuit UI should present stats

Mock of how the exosuit UI should present stats

The UI does not show actual stats, so we can’t tell

  • if adjacencies are working without manually testing each upgrade
  • how long a jetpack lasts and how long it takes to recharge
  • how long we can sprint and how ling it takes to recharge
  • how much shields we actually have
  • how long the S class environment protection upgrades last

To solve this, the UI should show the actual values:

I have too many ships.

I have too many ships.

I found a sentinel ship I liked and had to scrap another ship before I could claim it. I’m realizing that I dont need all the ships I have, and I want to change things up. At the same time I dont want to just scrap them (because they’re pretty). So I figured I would offer them up on here.

A starborn runner (name is different because its the one I did the expedition with), and 2 living ships that I can’t remember the coords to.

I’m not sure if ship trading is still working or not, so let me know if this isn’t possible. Otherwise just dm me which one you want and we’ll work things out. I’ll be online for a little while.
