My current way to earn units is scrapping crashed ships. (Hint: Gek pirate systems with water) I usually just ignore crappy ships (value less than 10MM with scanner), but occasionally for one reason or another, I end up flying one back to the space station. So I was interested: is it worth it to repair cargo slots before scrapping? I ran the numbers. Summary: Scrap value before cargo slot repair: 1.305MM After repair: 4.9MM Increase of: 3.595MM Space station cost of all repair components: 1,209,355 units (not including things I cannot buy, i.e. activated copper, oxygen, condensed carbon to make antimatter) The numbers look much better if you have farms for the annoying to buy or expensive things. I have an activated indium farm for the sole purpose of getting chromatic metal, for instance. So technically, it’s probably worth it to fix even the crappiest of ships before scrapping, assuming you have easy access to the parts you need. IMO, not worth the time if you can move on to something that has a larger return on your investment of time. Assuming it formats reasonably, here’s a table of everything I bought and a typical space station price (for me, yours may vary depending on difficulty settings) submitted by /u/harmothoe_ |

Iridescent at night. Thicker ‘cupped’ leaf ground cover. HUGE mountains and expansive lakes/delta/‘river’ systems. Blue water. V cool looking interior of Space Station. submitted by /u/DrTMorrow [link] [comments]

What updates does everyone really want to see? I’m wondering what the mass majority of the community wants to see? Space station variation, Planet updates, ETC? submitted by /u/OtherwiseIDC [link] [comments]

The other wacky planets are cool, the empty ones just feel more realistic and more space-like. Feels more like I’m an astronaut rather than exploring different dimensions or something. That’s the best way I can explain it submitted by …

I’m trying to target one species to damage my reputation with so I can continue to receive benefits from the others. When intercepting traders in outlaw bounties, they are in the same system as the outlaw station so it’s easy to tell which species is g…

Question says it all. Old stuff said 3.9k, but that was when you could use 6 mods? I’m up to 2.9k, but trying to figure out much more to push.

So I know there is the base building items you obtain in the anomaly and the ones through the quicksilver shop but I just found out about the items in pirate stations you can buy for tainted metal..i knew there were items to buy but not base building items… my question is.. are there any off the beaten path vendors or stations or trade terminals that have rare base parts? I’d like to collect everything I can for my building 👷♂️. Thanks traveler’s!
