Started this game at the start of this month I think. As much as I love it, it’s honestly awful at explaining things.
I bought/got a freighters (big ship?), and I also bought two frigates (less-big ships?), and I even sent something on an expedition. I still have no idea how these things work or what they give me. Is it just a moving base? Does this mean stationary bases are now obsolete?

My Golden Gektor, sadly the turbo slots are fixed for each constellation and they’re not perfect for it, but still good enough. submitted by /u/Entgegnerz |

My previous 1320 venom urchin farm got me multiple times more money. But on the other hand, that needs much more plants that count towards the structure limit. I don’t want a big stasis farm or something, I want to keep it somewhat simple to make money. I’m already sending frigates out. I find it boring to find and sell ships. submitted by /u/SquareFroggo |

Unification Day is a semi-fan-made, semi-canon holiday based in the No Man’s Sky simulation.
https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Unification_Day
Excerpt from a Distress Beacon at a Crashed Ship:
The logs reveal that the pilot was celebrating a festival known as ‘Unification Day’. Groups of similar minds, unable to meet but attempting to find one another, to claim worlds across time and space. Once a year their various alliances, federations, hubs, and empires united to remember all that they were, and could become in time…
This year, Unification Day is being organized by the Galactic Hub. That doesn’t mean it’s being hosted in our space, that just means I’m the one who is responsible for compiling the schedule and reaching out to participants.
So that’s what I’m doing! If you’re a member of a civilization, and you have any bases which would be suitable for hosting a Unification Day activity (minigame, PVP, racing, etc), let me know! I’ll also send you an invite to the Unification Day Council planning server.

I am starting to get a little bit frustrated trying to get Echoes to trigger. I have completed all the prerequisite as far as I know, including the “trace of metal” quest. I was playing for around four hours last night with absolutely no luck at all.
I have seen multiple different “ways” to do this via game magazine websites and on here, but nothing is “solidified” some people say you need a sentinel ship and to pulse in a system until you get hailed, others are saying it doesn’t matter what ship you but you have to land on a dissonant planet to trigger it.
I have been warping from dissonant planet for dissonant planet and have absolutely nothing to show for it. is the fact I’m in a living ship having some kind of effect on the triggering of echoes or what someone please help. I want to check out the new features of the game.
any help is greatly appreciated.

Why are these made so inefficient? Harvesting 4 at a time is insane when you have a room over 50 double cultivation chambers. I feel like we should have a “Harvest Whole Room” option. It’s way more efficient to use biodomes, but freighters should be a little better, no? submitted by /u/Life_Accountant4310 |

So I’m doing the dreams of the depths quest, I built the nautilon and added the scanner thingy, and now I’m supposed to use it to find a sunken freighter
The games tells me to use the quick menu to activate the scanner
But there is no quick menu? Or at least I can’t access it?
What am I supposed to do then? Swim across the whole planet untill the regular scanner finds something?

As beautiful as they are, they lack a feeling of a community hub for lack of a better term. It would be cool if they were larger and had places like bars, dining areas, places to relax etc. Yes it would be a lot of empty "useless" space, but …
