I’ve found a way to speed up reclaiming Interceptors

As per title, I discovered a way to SKIP THE MONOLITH TRIP to activate the ship brain. Here’s the steps:

  1. Reach the ships and interact with it. In the repairing part screen, FIRST REMOVE THE RED BRAIN then the other parts, put everything in your inventory. Exit the repair screen.
  2. DO NOT ACTIVATE THE BRAIN. Instead go to the back of the ship where the broken pilot should be. Remove his scrap part, put it in your inventory and exit without doing anything else.
  3. INTERACT AGAIN WITH THE SHIP. It should immediately trigger the reclaim screen instead of asking for the activated brain. DO NOT EXIT THIS SCREEN, if you do the next time it will ask for the monolith brain as per usual.

This is done on PC survival. Maybe this process could be narrowed down even more, but for now it works. If you have echo locators, obtaining interceptors is quite fast.

Squadron Pilots useless?

So I have been getting frustrated with my wingmen lately. They just get in my way and appear to deal almost zero actual damage so I have to kill everything anyways and enemy AI only seem to target me.

So before I just dismiss them all, does giving them better ships help at all? I have read old posts saying that even if you give them a ship with upgrades, they only utilize its base stats. Is that true? I was thinking of having a squadron of all S-class Interceptors. But if they are still going to be useless then I won’t bother with the effort.
