When you dig into No Man’s Sky’s lore it can get pretty chilling.
I was exploring yesterday and found a couple passages that made me think “wow.” Firstly, I was in a vykeen abandoned building and got a passage asking questions about who the sentinels are, what gives them the right to police everything, etc. they were going to do experiments on them on a planet far away from its little blue star it said, the last line read “The first drone screamed as it was cut open.” And passage end. Then later in another system I found a crashed freighter, long story short the survivors were forced underground by the sentinels, after mentioning that everyone was dead, the last two lines read “no longer hungry, no longer -kzzt-“ the final one read “what have we done?” This was a gek system, so this is probably hinting at, well, then eating each other. Crazy what you can discover from 30 minutes of exploring.
