No good reason for it to not be a game loop. Locate crashed ship. Set up heavy terrain manipulator for excavation. Build in field hoverdock to hold the various parts of the ship. Set-up power generation and teleportation. Plenty to do. Could even just retrieve it for scrap

Could even have to outfit certain ships for the task. Thoughts.
