My very first tryhard base building experience

Hi travellers, I love the game, going 90 hours now, and decided to really try my best to build a base where i can finally settle down. Found a paradise planet, boom, let setup my base on a mountain. Everything was going fine, I planned how my base going to look like (even do research on google), until it's time to arrange the object, the decoration. It was horrible, it's very hard to align object in base building mode, even though I turn on the snap object placement, the object sometimes doesn't shows up. It's very buggy, and whenever I put something on an object (table lamp for example), it literally sinks into the object under it. What upsets me the most is, I build the base using small cuboid, but I can't place painting, poster on the wall. Did I missed something ? Took me 6 hours to complete the base, but I was not satisfied, something is missing. The decoration could have been better, but the base building mode is very buggy. I'm disappointed.
