This game is too good to be true

I’ve been playing for like a week and I’ve dropped 20-30 hours on it. I’ve been reading this sub a bunch and I know there are many things to be desired that people have pointed out and all, but man – when I saw that first ship zoom over me on my starting planet, when I first boosted into space and a fleet of freighters started coming out of warp all around me – I just felt something I haven’t felt in a while. A sense of awe and wonder. It captures the beautifully terrifying smallness you feel when you look up at the stars or see a picture taken by a space telescope.

I know that No Man’s Sky isn’t 100% perfect, but none of the things we love are and I am absolutely in love with this game.

Will we ever be able to cultivate foodstuff plants?

It always bothered me somewhat that we have these plants we can cultivate for the purpose of building or crafting further items (or making loads of money on the market in the case of NipNip buds), but the plants you want to gather from for ingredients remain wild and untamed.

It’d be nice to be able to set up a farm base proper or have a microfarm on a freighter for your heptaloid wheats or impulse beans…
