Lesson learned…
Only swapped the multi tool before hitting the center of Euclid.
Biggest oopsie I’ve made in gaming history, but that’s not the whole story. I was in my sentinel ship for the final jump… broke everything. Absolutely everything. And now I’ve gotta figure how I got a harmonic brain all over again. This game is ever the provider in the advent of having something to do no matter how menial or difficult the task may be.
My only real scare was “ah I’ll just hit the space station for some materials…” and “ oh no!” As I’m leaving the atmosphere in a different ship. It was a flash of remembrance and white hot regrets as I’m scrambling to return to the exact spot I left my now broken (including lift off and shields) ship. As the thought of “I’ll just summon the thing to whatever spot I return to” suddenly vanished and like lightning was replaced with “how can I summon it if it’s broken!!!”.
As I approached the spot I swore I left from, the terrain did a refresh and was anew and unfamiliar to my terror. And the hillside my ship sat sparking and smoking on suddenly became an ore processing plant… no ship in sight, the panic took roots.
The plan was, set up camp here, establish a search pattern and get back the ship I’ve spent months crafting into the head of my fleet. So step by step, I began building a meager power supply and launch pad….
….the summon other ship list refreshed somehow, and there it was again! I didn’t think relief was a thing in this game, but here we are.
I rumor that my exit and return was exceedingly accurate and the ore plant painted over my ship leaving it hanging there in code limbo, and the game self righted the error of making the ship invisible by allowing the summoning command to work for it despite it being extremely crippled.
So many supplies and rss are gone because I rushed into the galaxy center. Don’t be like me…
