lost my starship

i lost my starship and I need help desperately.

lemme rewind a bit started playing the game a couple of weeks back. I finally made a hyperdrive and went to another star system. i found a distress signal to a nearby planet, which turned out to be part of the main mission. i landed on this planet and went after the signal. found the broken ship and base of someone called Artemis. got the blueprints for advanced mining laser and had to go to space station for wiring loom. I'd added Artemis' starship to my collection and when i turned to go to my starship, the HUD showed the new starship as 'my' starship. it won't show where my actual starship is and now I'm left with this hunk of junk.

this thing has absolutely nothing in working order, you have to repair a lot of stuff, and some of it requires: a wiring loom. anyway, I tried to summon my ship but it says "you need 25% fuel in launch thrusters to summon. you have 100%". wtf. I'd checked the launch thrusters before embarking towards the signal, and it had 16% in launch thrusters. I mistakenly assumed that would be enough and went on my merry way.

now how do i get out of this. the only way i see is to restore a previous save, but that would set me back quite a bit. does anyone know any other way?

Don't COMPLETE This Game

I’ve seen with the 4.0 update and now the redux expeditions, along with quite a few posts that a lot of players are stressed about what they HAVE to get or do.

Don’t be a completionist. You don’t need the “best” freighter, ship, multi tool, or anything else. Just do what you want. Get the first freighter that’s free of it looks cool to you. Use a subpar multi tool because it does what you need. Build a lame 4 room base. It’s OK.

This whole game revolves around a story of repeated failing simulations in which the actions of those within really don’t matter. That gives you the freedom to do whatever you want. Don’t hamper your fun with obsessively reloading saves to get the “right” ship or freighter, just get what you want. Don’t stress about missing out on an expedition, all the rewards are pixels on a screen.

This isn’t against the completionist players or the min-maxers. If that’s what you WANT to do, I just see too many posts of people asking if they should do this or that, and you need to know this-

In a universe of infinite possibilities, all of them are correct. Have fun – don’t complete goals.

wtf is up with the Cronus interface?

Trying to give dude a cupcake. I keep components like plating and tubes in my suit for various things, and I keep creature pellets as well. In my freighter, I have a bunch of surplus eggs that I have no space for in storage.

The extremely limited interface for presenting Cronus with a food item limits you to 3 options. It is counting the carbon nanotubes, the creature pellets and for some insane reason the eggs that are in my freighter and that means there’s no room for it to give me the cupcake as an option to offer him. I’m assuming it’s going alphabetically… But it’s literally letting me offer him nanotubes before it lets me offer him an actual food item. Why is it not just a menu, like the trade rocket, where you can pick what to hand him, or (like people have been asking for) just shove a bunch of food in him at once for nanites? I didn’t realize it was THIS shitty.

Gardening is fun

This is my Stasis farm biologicals, a two minute run down the hall gives me enough to make almost 100 stasis devices at 15.6M units each. Couple that with my collection of S-class mines across 11 galaxies and you’ve got a moneymaking operation. …
