A detailed method for those grinding Autophage missions for Void Motes

So if you’re grinding Autophage missions to get the cool cosmetics and staff parts, I’m assuming you have the ability to scan for camps via your multi tool.

Here’s the method and what’s been most efficient for me:

  1. Get to the initial camp

  2. Talk to all the NPCs and see what missions they have

  3. Most likely you’ll get one or two that you need to collect parafinium or chromatic metal for which are easy once you’re in the late game (side tip: in NMS you should be hoarding most resources throughout any given playthrough by buying them in bulk at space stations or trade outposts. By the time you reach late game, you’ll be able to complete these missions in seconds by just having them in your inventory already)

  4. The other free-be missions are the ones where you have to craft something like starship fuel, solar mirrors, or magnetic resonators. Again, you should be doing these missions when you have most resources in the game in bulk already. These will be completed in a few seconds.

  5. Ignore the missions that tells you to scrap a ship, it’s not worth the time it takes to complete.

  6. Always start the missions where you need to kill sentinels but don’t go out and do them just yet

  7. THIS IS KEY: most camps will have a mission where you need to repair a lost Autophage, always take this mission. WHY: it will give you the location of where the Autophage is that you need to repair, but what it doesn’t tell you is that it is also the location of another Autophage camp that you can rinse and repeat all of these missions at. Simply go to the broken Autophage and do a scan pulse to reveal the new camp.

  8. Always leave the repair Autophage mission for last and just go from camp to camp hoarding up mission. THIS IS KEY: don’t waste time going back to NPCs from camps that you’ve left to hand in missions like the repair mission. The game will tell you to but what it doesn’t tell you is that you can hand in any mission, no matter who it was for, to the mission agent in any space station.

  9. Going off of point 7, once you’ve hoarded like 9 Autophage camps worth of missions (this only takes about an hour), there will be like 10 missions or so that you’ve started that tell you to kill 8 sentinels (or something around that). When you’re ready to cash in, just find those sentinels to kill and those kills will count towards every sentinel mission you’ve picked up. In other words, killing those 8 sentinels will have completed 10 missions all together instead of having to kill 8 sentinels 10 times by doing the missions periodically (don’t waste your time doing that).

Doing this method netted me about 7k void motes in just under and hour and a half. Let me know if I’m missing anything important or if this helps you!!

I’m just cruising through Euclid working on actually completing the story quests finally and this thing lands out of no where on the station! So exciting as I’ve never actually seen an exotic ship before other than player ones that have landed on…

Will we ever be able to cultivate foodstuff plants?

It always bothered me somewhat that we have these plants we can cultivate for the purpose of building or crafting further items (or making loads of money on the market in the case of NipNip buds), but the plants you want to gather from for ingredients remain wild and untamed.

It’d be nice to be able to set up a farm base proper or have a microfarm on a freighter for your heptaloid wheats or impulse beans…

Huh, that’s neat

Glyphs are in screenshot, it is on Euclid Galaxy, and it’s at coords -28.64, -142.14 on planet Snomchus Signa (I did not change the name). I’ve never seen anything like it. submitted by /u/Thee-Plague-Doctor [link] [comments…

Let me map planets

I wish the planets had an actual map in the discovery screen, where you could see each waypoint discovered and spin the globe. I feel like it would very simply add a lot of depth to a shallow experience So many things they could flesh out in this game…
