New travelers – don’t break the game too soon

Just wondering if any other travelers experienced this…

I feel like I played the game the way it should be played. Let me explain. Over my first 100 hours or so I…

  • completed much of the main questline
  • slowly grew my ship collection
  • discovered better and faster ways to make units
  • built bigger and more thought out bases (nothing extravagant)
  • expanded my inventory so I wasnt constantly overloaded
  • explored, explored, explored!

Then I read up on activated idium farms. I started 2 small farms on nasty moons, collected daily, netted hundreds of millions of units each selloff – game broken

I no longer debate if the 65,000,000 ship is worth it. That's nothing. B Class – dont waste my time

Why bother exploring ruins for artifacts? Or deep caves systems for relics and tetracobalt?

That abandoned building is just a WoT.

Want my stacks of mystery meat stew? I never touch the stuff

Who cares about doing those missions that used to have pretty profitable rewards. That supply depot can stay supplied.

Now don't get me wrong, there is still plenty left to do and to learn, including finding the perfect world, but this is a warning to newer players who are truly enjoying exploring and learning the game… dont break it too soon

Building items....

So I know there is the base building items you obtain in the anomaly and the ones through the quicksilver shop but I just found out about the items in pirate stations you can buy for tainted metal..i knew there were items to buy but not base building items… my question is.. are there any off the beaten path vendors or stations or trade terminals that have rare base parts? I’d like to collect everything I can for my building 👷‍♂️. Thanks traveler’s!
