So VR confirmed and it’s getting really good press but what’s next?

HG have done a great job adding and expanding NMS but there are still some areas I would Love to see rework or added upon.

I always dreamed, sinse I saw NMS of being out in the universe rocking my unique spaceship and NMS hasn’t fully scratched that itch.

So the biggest wish/hope for me is, ship customisation but not just vanity and cosmetic (although that does still russle my jimmies) but I really deep rework of ships. (I know some additions to ships were made early on)

As we can all see – ships are modular and generated randomly with 4-5 parts (some of which don’t appear with others)

So I would love to see a system where you can research and craft designs for the modular segments and interchange them at a spacestation/home base and other buildings.

These modules (parts of the ships) would still have classes of C to S which would combine to create the over all class of the ship (example 3x C parts and 2x A parts makes a B- ship or something like that) and these would be in the categories/types – fighter, hauler, explorer and the other one(I also think I new class should be added racer) in addition these these parts when crafted (depending on class/ reasech level and type) could have RNG rolls for the percent increases to attack/boost/shield (and maybe news one like manoeuvrability/speed/acceleration) .

With a system somthing like this (if it makes sense… hah) we could own formidable fighter, super sonic racers or indestructible haulers.

How good would it be to race the ship you’ve have lovingly crafted and designed against others and proclaim yourself fastest in the universe.

Or the same for fighter ships and being the strongest.

So much potential here IMO. New catalog of ship parts, maybe some that can only get from events and why not colours vynals/decals as well.

I don’t care about multiplayer. Not a single tiny atomic bit. I am however, smart enough to realize that the addition of functions and missions for multiplayer will still benefit me. As a solo player, I will still get more things to do as a result of NMS Online.

I keep seeing so many people upset about VR. You will benefit from the VR aspect regardless of your possession of a headset. We will get an updated UI, updated cockpit for ships, as well as the much requested first person view in land vehicles. We will probably get even more than this, since all of that is based off of what little we have been shown.

In short, despite the fact I hate online modes, I will not hate on those who want the features. Same for VR. If you have followed the updates, you would know that what we have been shown, is the tiniest crumb of what we will get. I can’t wait to find out what part 3 is!
