NMS HOT POST 2023/02/24

While playing, I wanted to avoid getting scanned by station authorities. Therefore, I decided to land on a freighter that suddenly disappeared but I still somehow docked with it. However, I made a silly mistake by exiting my ship and ended up free falling to the planet. 😂

If you look at the names of some characters in nms they are named after Greek & Roman gods/goddesses. Example:

Tethys: Tethys is the goddess of freshwater and nursing mothers. Also the name of a moon of Saturn.

Apollo: The god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the sun and light, poetry, and more.

Mercury: the Roman god of commerce, often serving as a mediator between the gods and mortals.

Ares: The ancient Greek god of war or, more properly, the spirit of battle. He represented the distasteful aspects of brutal warfare and slaughter.

Ariadne: She was a Cretan princess and the daughter of King Minos of Crete.

Cronus: A Titan and the youngest son of Uranus (Heaven/Sky) and Gaia (Earth).

Eos: Represented as a young woman, usually winged, either walking fast with a youth in her arms or rising from the sea in a chariot drawn by winged horses, Eos has the power to bring the dawn or the morning sky to the ancient Greeks.

Gemini: According to one version of the myth, Castor and Pollux were made into the constellation Gemini by the god Zeus to honor the brothers’ love.

Helios: The sun god, sometimes called a Titan. Helios is often depicted in art with a radiant crown and driving a horse-drawn chariot through the sky. He was a guardian of oaths and also the god of sight.

Hesperus: The Evening Star, the planet Venus in the evening. A son of the dawn goddess Eos (Roman Aurora), he is the half-brother of her other son, Phosphorus (also called Eosphorus; the “Morning Star”).

Hyperion: The Titan god of watchfulness and heavenly light. He was the father of Eos (Dawn), Helios (Sun), and Selene (Moon), as well as the brother of Cronus, king of the Titans, and the husband of Theia, Titan goddess of the sky.

Perses: The Titan god of destruction. He was the father of Hekate, goddess of witchcraft, by the Titanis Asteria (“Starry One”).

Selene: In Greek and Roman religion, the personification of the moon as a goddess. She was worshipped at the new and full moons.

Artemis: The goddess of chastity, hunting, and the moon, often depicted with her trusty bow and arrow and a short tunic to aid in running through the woods. Her maidenly virtue—for she swore never to marry—was presented in counterpoint to the passionate and fiery Aphrodite.

I own a Sentinel Interceptor (Copypasta)

I own a Sentinel Interceptor for home-planet defense, because that’s what the ATLAS intended. Four pirates warp into my system. “Hostile ships approaching.” As I grab my controls and switch to Infra-Knife, blow a gravitino ball-sized hole in the first pirate, he’s dead on the spot. Draw my rocket launcher on the second man, miss him entirely because they’re unguided and smash into a passing freighter. I now have to resort to the Defense Turrets mounted on my capital ship below. “Tally ho lads.” The high-powered Phase Beam shreds two men in the blast, the shockwave and debris field sets off proximity alarms. I now resort to dogfighting the last pirate, select my Sentinel cannon, pull him into the reticle and fire. He bleeds out in the cockpit because high-powered photon wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as I get a “Shields down” warning.

Building items....

So I know there is the base building items you obtain in the anomaly and the ones through the quicksilver shop but I just found out about the items in pirate stations you can buy for tainted metal..i knew there were items to buy but not base building items… my question is.. are there any off the beaten path vendors or stations or trade terminals that have rare base parts? I’d like to collect everything I can for my building 👷‍♂️. Thanks traveler’s!
