This is one of the things that I think Hello Games got right even from the start. But somehow I think either they removed, or made very rare. Planetary entry where the planet starts to look like a photo of the surface the more you descend into it, and up until you reach the ground and land it looks like that photo and doesn’t break the illusion. Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen do this so well. No Man’s Sky did it well too until they started adding that weird blue glow on the whole planet and completely white glowing clouds that appear when you enter the atmosphere even when you’re in the night portion. It doesn’t seem to make sense to me and it breaks the illusion. This video is from 6 years ago and I hope it’s not a case of “it wasn’t broke but we fixed it”. This is one of THE biggest selling points for a space game for me: the beauty of a planet being essentially a spherical photo of what you’re going to land on up to the point you make touchdown. “One step for a man are two steps for a Gek” Just recently got into the game and having a blast! Started my first settlement, got into pet hunting (currently working on a Space Bee like creature), plopped my first mineral extractor down and farming some sweet copper which I traded on the anomaly for a void egg with a sketchy fellow. Not sure what it does since I try to avoid spoilers but hey…. it said egg so I gotta have it! Landing pad back at the settlement got blocked by a S-Class Ship…. so I bought it, any name suggestions? Met an other traveller on the anomaly who gifted me with a robotic creature egg after I showed my bee pet. Communicated through basic gestures….. hope he understood how grateful I am. You are part of my story now. Can’t wait to return the favor once my bee matures and starts laying eggs. So yeah it’s going well…. bit afraid to die again from getting stuck with my ship against a building but I’m confident I got it this time. So they recently added 🇺🇸 cookies / 🇬🇧 biscuits to the game, which means Hello Games is adding new cooking recipes in their updates.
Anyways, to the point. There’s bread, with can be made by processing Dough in the Nutrient Processor. And that’s it. Dead end in the crafting tree. Which kinda surprised me a little, considering the various other types of food items that exist in the game.
I propose the category… Assemble Sandwich! At the moment I don’t have ideas for prices and consumption bonuses, but I have a few recipe ideas: – Mystery Melt: Processed Meat or Smoked Meat + Tangy Cheese + Bread – Proto-Panino: Processed Meat or Smoked Meat + ProtoCheese + Bread – Egg Salad Sandwich: Creature Egg (etc) + Steamed Vegetables + Bread – Eerie Sandwich: Larval Core + Steamed Vegetables + Bread – Starlit Sandwich: Silicon Egg + Steamed Vegetables + Bread
If anyone has any ideas for prices, consumption bonuses, or other recipes, feel free to share!

As title says, I was playing my 52 hour extreme mode save, in Wich I had an S ship, an S sentinel freighter, and was looking for a living ship. And when I finally arrived at the planet in Wich you look for the souls, as soon as I get out of my ship, I got killed by a random guy in a ship, so if you’re reading this, thanks for ruining my save. I remind you that killing players doesn’t reward you.
