I’ve been playing VR for Years now and after playing NMS in VR (and in general) for the first time ever a few days ago, this is the biggest and most fleshed out “VR” game ever. It honestly breaks my brain a bit just how much the systems and gameloops feed into each other. I play a hell of a lot of Elite Dangerous and while that game will never be topped for what it does for me personally, NMS Is the better game VR or no. That almost feels traitorous to say but it’s just a fact for me now.

I’ve only played the game in VR and am a little over 60 hours in and am still having moments that take my breath away. The way the grass blows in the wind or the way moons and other planets looks in the sky from down below, or the beauty of a sunrise on an alien world…

Theres just something awe inspiring to me about the size and scope of this game. It feels like a living universe populated with other beings, creatures, and travellers and it really gives me the feels every time I play.
