What should I buy first?
I was playing last night and found some technology worth 15.6 million each. I had a whole stack of 10 that I sold for over 155 million. Fixing a crappy C-class solar ship before scrapping: an analysis

My current way to earn units is scrapping crashed ships. (Hint: Gek pirate systems with water) I usually just ignore crappy ships (value less than 10MM with scanner), but occasionally for one reason or another, I end up flying one back to the space station. So I was interested: is it worth it to repair cargo slots before scrapping? I ran the numbers. Summary: Scrap value before cargo slot repair: 1.305MM After repair: 4.9MM Increase of: 3.595MM Space station cost of all repair components: 1,209,355 units (not including things I cannot buy, i.e. activated copper, oxygen, condensed carbon to make antimatter) The numbers look much better if you have farms for the annoying to buy or expensive things. I have an activated indium farm for the sole purpose of getting chromatic metal, for instance. So technically, it’s probably worth it to fix even the crappiest of ships before scrapping, assuming you have easy access to the parts you need. IMO, not worth the time if you can move on to something that has a larger return on your investment of time. Scrapping Interceptors is extremely lucrative and so broken.
It only takes a short while at best to find a Dissonant system and obtain an Echo-Locator. It takes even less time to get to a Harmonic Camp and locate a crashed Interceptor.
Scrapping said Interceptor can make you millions of units per ship. From just two Interceptors, I’ve made around 100 million units.
With that said, do you guys think a nerf may be on the way?

Any way to get these storage boxes level?

Help! My paving had a cool retro pattern, and now it's gone. Was it a bug or a feature?

I started building a base next to an outpost, and the paving had this cool circle/star/petal pattern as in the second picture. The colors changed on it accordingly, it looked awesome. All pavings consistently had that pattern and I don’t recall clicking on anything to pick it. I scrapped that base and moved a bit over to start it again, and the paving was back to it’s boring self. I went back to the outpost to recreate the first try, but paving is still nonpatterned. I tried clicking on all colors/materials but I can’t get it to be like that again. Frigate expeditions incredibly longer now
I used to have expeditions take from 1 hour to 4. And now my shortest timed expedition is 5 hours and the other 4 are 20+ hours. Can anyone help explain why tf that happened? It was fun doing two-4 expeditions in a day. submitted by /u/I…

I'd really appreciate some kind of "vault" for MTs and ships.
I’m a collector, and I like keeping unique things. I have a couple of expedition ships, as well as the Atlas Staff from the last expedition. The staff and ships are not in my regular use pool of stuff, but getting rid of them appears to mean that I can’t ever get them back. At the expedition rewards vendor, all these things say “previously claimed.” which I’m assuming means they’re one and done. With such a small number of ships and MT’s that we’re able to keep (relative to the massive number of cool looking stuff you can collect.) I feel like a lot of very precious space is getting eaten up by keeping these unique things.
I feel stuck between a rock and hard place. I want to keep the cool looking unique stuff that I don’t think I can get back if I scrap, but I also would like more room.
Even if we can’t keep anything other than the most essential tech on them in “storage” I think it would be great if we had some way to keep more than just 6 MTs and 12 ships. For a game that’s primarily about seeing everything and discovering stuff, we don’t get much in the way of space for the things that matter.
