Ok so I was taught the dupe glitch (portable refiner) about 3 weeks ago when I first started playing this game. I’m ngl it has seriously helped me with the grind aspect of the game, but does anyone else feel like maybe this saps the challenge or even t…

I think that the one thing that no man’s sky is missing are ways to socialize. Now I know that there are civilized spaces and there’s the nexus, but people never talk there and it’s boring.
I think that the devs should add one (or a bunch) capital system to each galaxy with a planet with like huge cities or even ecumenopolis which people can buy houses, play in a casino race in pre-made giant tracks and do all sort of stuff together and on this planet will be a nexus of and just overall role-play.
The way you get to that system is either by portal or maybe a mission or you can just go there through the nexus.
Important note! It has to be a super unique system so between 1-3 systems per galaxy so players would actually meet each other.
What say you people?

In its free weekend round two announcement, Hello Games says its first attempt “worked better than expected” and No Man’s Sky “started the year with more players than we’ve EVER had at this time of year”, adding, “Our large and friendly community did us proud and jumped at the opportunity to welcome these new Travellers with open arms and show them the ropes.” As before, No Man’s Sky’s free weekend is open to players on all platforms – Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and PC – and the latest festivities conclude on Monday, 26th February. Any progress made during the event will be carried over to the full game if you’re convinced enough that you decide to make a purchase, and the previous 50 percent discount is still available across digital storefronts, meaning you can pick it up for around £19.99. This second free weekend event follows last week’s launch of No Man’s Sky’s Omega update, which added the likes of procedurally generated on-plant missions, the ability to captain imposing Dreadnought capital ships, a revised Atlas Path quest line, and a major overhaul for Expeditions – No Man’s Sky’s limited-time curated campaigns. And speaking of Expeditions, the game’s 12th – titled Omega, appropriately enough – is currently live, meaning you’ll be able to give it a go if you happen to hop on during the free weekend. Hello Games ends its free weekend redux announcement saying it’s got “big and ambitious updates for No Man’s Sky planned this year”. And, of course, there’s the far from small matter of its next project – the intriguing procedurally generated fantasy planet sim Light No Fire – which the studio unveiled at the end of last year. submitted by /u/HeathrJarrod |

Its really rude to haul ass to a mission and complete it when the host starts it, on any co op game it is. If you want to do a mission fast and not have any imagination or fun dont join my group when I start a mission. Is there a reason to not wait for…

Why are these made so inefficient? Harvesting 4 at a time is insane when you have a room over 50 double cultivation chambers. I feel like we should have a “Harvest Whole Room” option. It’s way more efficient to use biodomes, but freighters should be a little better, no? submitted by /u/Life_Accountant4310 |

So I’m doing the dreams of the depths quest, I built the nautilon and added the scanner thingy, and now I’m supposed to use it to find a sunken freighter
The games tells me to use the quick menu to activate the scanner
But there is no quick menu? Or at least I can’t access it?
What am I supposed to do then? Swim across the whole planet untill the regular scanner finds something?

As beautiful as they are, they lack a feeling of a community hub for lack of a better term. It would be cool if they were larger and had places like bars, dining areas, places to relax etc. Yes it would be a lot of empty "useless" space, but …
