So you’re startingg up the game and have no clue where or how to start here’s a guide to get you that sweet jetpack and sentinel ship:
I- Finding dissonant planets.
a) On the star map when looking at star system info, look for those who say “dissonant” instead of “water” that will tell you if that star system has a dissonant planet
b) once on the system scan planets, in the sentinel activity info instead of displaying the sentinel risk it will say “corrupted sentinels”
c) this can be done in a simpler way using the warp drive in your freighter, and using the planet scanner in your freighter base.
II- Finding Interceptor ships
a) Method 1: Sentinel Capital Shipsfor this method trigger the sentinel rresponse in space by attacking any random ship (for some reason it doesnt work if you start the dogfight planet side or attacking the space stations), keep fihtingg till the capital ship appears. Destroy the captial ship and it will promt you to a dissonant planet with coords for your new ship (check the galaxy map)
b) Method 2: Planetside Brawl
In a dissonant planet start a sentinel battle and follow it completely till you kill all sentinel waves, once ALL sentinels are dead it will revveal the location of that sweet ride.
c) Method 3: Echo Locators: (easiest method)
Once you find a dissonant planet, look for the big drill bots and kill them till they drop an “echo locator”, use it from your invventory and it will reveal the coords for a campsite, in there solve the “very hard” math puzzle on the terminal and you got new wings, while in there you can lift the seal to get a new sentinel multitool and reveal coords for a sentinel ship
ps: echo locators won’t work on uninhabited planets or barren planets

*yes I know these games are very different obviously, but my criticisms could be applied to any game using procedural generation* I’ve been returning to nms after finishing Starfield’s main story, side quests (most), faction quests, etc. I even made a …

I believe I’ve upgraded my freighter as far as I can. So why did they make so many spaces in the tech area? If there’s more to get, please let me know. Also, are the stats about as good as they get? Can I get them better? Suggestions?

I have discerned what I think is a sort of unwritten two-week rule in the NMS community. You get to sit on discoveries and play with them for two weeks, but after the honeymoon the brotastic nature of the NMS community requires that one bequeath one’s discoveries for all grah brahs to enjoy. Guys, gals & nonbinary pals, I hereby introduce all y’all to what I think is my most significant NMS discovery, the planet Ebradin (even its original name is pretty sweet): It’s just gorgeous. I’ve never seen dissonance blend so well into what would otherwise be an Earth-type paradise planet. The sky and water can get reddish, but otherwise the whole landscape is exactly what everyone is looking for. The lifeforms aren’t just abundant — every single one has character. There’s the adorable hopping shroom cluster. Maybe you’ve seen those before. But I’d never seen glowing fish that just fly around before Ebradin. The landscape at night is stunningly beautiful. It’s like this everywhere. “But oh no, storms!” you might say. Chill, anomalbroski. Ebradin would never harsh your NipNip buzz with dangerous storms. The storms on Ebradin are rather totally awesome. Gravity storms! In exchange for a minor drag on your life support, you can jetpack hundreds (maybe thousands?) of units in the air with just a basic rig. Gravity storms mean you shoot into the air with minimal jetpacking, and on top of that you get a massive jetpack tank boost in a gravity storm, because of course you do. Finally, the gravity storms make the planet insanely buggy. Portions of landscapes will lift off the ground and twist into themselves like a deranged MC Escher print. They will melt your brain and crash your PS5. Enjoy! Ebradin is located in Euclid, so even novice travellerinos can hang ten on these gravity waves. Thank you NMS community. Don’t say I never did anything nice for you. submitted by /u/CultoSkippyasyermuni |
