Put down your Emergency Signal Scanners, stow your heaters and say good-bye to floaty green jellyfish: the new way to farm freighter modules is here!

First of all, shout out to u/ParChadders for the original idea and help in putting this together.

You will need:

– a ship capable of bringing down a pirate dreadnought. I suggest an Infra-knife setup with at least 30K dps but it may get tricky, so 60K+ is ideal.

– warp fuel.

– to be safe, turn off multiplayer. I don’t know what will happen if someone else joins your open session

– NB you don’t have to wait 3 hours or do 5 jumps!

Go to the portal address below, to the system of Teyevoye X. Say hi to the locals and then open your galaxy map. Turn towards the galactic centre, and just to your right and away from the centre, 45ly away, is the system of Agidel. Warp there.

You will see a pirate dreadnought attacking a fleet. Do not go for the engines or the gun turrets! Aim for the red dreadnought icon at the rear of the dread, it should be at the entrance to the right-hand side “canyon” on the surface of the dread. Enter the “canyon” and shoot the shield generator globes, making sure to wait for the fuel cells to emerge afterwards, and also shoot them. You should be able to aim down the “canyon” and take out three at once.

Once you take out the right side, turn around and do the same in the left “canyon”. As soon as you take out the last fuel cell, you will hear a warning about the dread trying to warp. At this point I think you have about 10 seconds but it could be longer. With good DPS you should melt the rest of the hull in about a second (each fuel cell is 8% so there should only be 20% left anyway).

Job done! You should receive either one freighter module or x3 Cargo Bulkheads, plus ~500k units, ~500 nanites and +7/8 Korvax standing. The modules are all S-class, with most of them being +15%. The fuel economy module maxes out at 20% and drops in Agidel. The warp drive module that drops here is 250ly and 100% efficiency, which is also the max.

This should all take around 2 minutes. Now, say goodbye to the grateful freighter fleet, open your map and warp back to Teyevoye X. Another pirate dreadnought awaits you! This one however only drops a 249ly warp module (I know! the cheap f***) and I admit I have not had a fuel economy mod from him yet so I can’t confirm whether it’s the max 20%. The rest of the rewards remain however (you get Gek rep here).

Rinse and repeat, for as long as you want. You’re most welcome.

Huh, that’s neat

Glyphs are in screenshot, it is on Euclid Galaxy, and it’s at coords -28.64, -142.14 on planet Snomchus Signa (I did not change the name). I’ve never seen anything like it. submitted by /u/Thee-Plague-Doctor [link] [comments…

Let me map planets

I wish the planets had an actual map in the discovery screen, where you could see each waypoint discovered and spin the globe. I feel like it would very simply add a lot of depth to a shallow experience So many things they could flesh out in this game…

Play past expeditions today(only on pc, sorry console people)

One question that I’ve seen asked quite often is if it is possible to play past expeditions, and people usually answer that aside from the four redux expeditions at the end of the year, you can’t, officially, that is the only way. However, there is a very easy and safe workaround that allows you to play any expedition at any time.

The data of all the past expeditions is still in the game, but these expeditions can no longer be accessed. However, there’s a file named SEASON_DATA_CACHE.json that controls the start and end dates of the expeditions, the milestones, the rewards, and a bit more. By editing this file, you can make these expeditions playable again without messing with the actual game files or your save file. JSON files are a bit hard to read and understand at first, but someone on github has already modified the file for all past expeditions, even accounting for the inventory system change in the Waypoint update. It’s literally just drag and drop; just make sure to read the readme files first, there’s a very good tutorial and notes about the expeditions, like bugs and possible workarounds.
