Last time there was an update…

Someone posted a sub saying "HG, please charge us for the next update!".

It got downvoted. We all love NMS and one of the thing that drives that is the devs' passion and commitment to the community. Sean said in an interview "maybe we're just terrible at business".

They are a small team though, and I'm sure they do need our support here and there. Here's what you can do:

  • Buy their other games (Joe Danger, Last Campfire)
  • Buy copies on other platforms
  • Buy NMS as a gift for friends (especially whilst it's on sale right now)
  • Spread the word
  • Keep the love

I'm about the buy Joe Danger myself for my phone now, and I will always be loyal to HG for their amazing passion and commitment. Their next game will surely be in my game library the moment it hits the shelves, and whatever this update is, some people will be happy and other won't… can't please everyone all the time. But, personally, I love this game and this community and I am one satisfied Interloper. Keep up the good work, HG!

Made a decently large mistake, not sure what to do.

So I just finished my first pirate fight, and I realized that I could get a free C class freighter. This got me excited, so I accepted without looking it up. Unfortunately, I’ve just now realized that this typically isn’t a good thing to do – certainly not for a C class freighter. It would be better to wait for the 2nd or future freighters.

So I just gave up my first free freighter. The next one will cost me more than what I have (probably). How can I recover from this error? I guess by making money, yeah, but what are some good ways to do that? I’m still sort of in the early game by the way. No industrial things built (coming soon) or base expansion (also coming soon).

Stuck on radiated water planet.

I’m stuck on a very small island without rocks or dihydrogen around me. I cannot build a portable refiner, can’t make starship launch fuel (that’s why I’m stuck), and there isn’t a nearby island within miles. There are zero rocks underwater, radiation is a big problem, no matter what I do, I cannot find anything for me to get off. And despite uranium supposedly being a huge resource here, there is none in the vicinity.

So uh... The first free freighter....

So uh... The first free freighter....

It’s supposed to be an S-class right? 😅

I still haven’t clicked the claim button because I’m still sort of in shock. I went through the dog fight event, checked out the freighter and was a B-class, but I had to shut off the game. I didn’t realize it didn’t save. When I reverted the save and did it again, the RNG seemed to have blessed me with a S Capital ship after the single accidental save scum.

I haven’t been playing that long and don’t fully understand what I’m looking at as far as quality. How good is she as freighters go?
