The ONE thing I HATE about expeditions. . .
. . .is that they need to stop generating my character and starting ship using my name as the seed value. I’m sick to death of having to begin every expedition as a short-ass Gek with the camera angle too close to the ground, and the ugliest, slowest, and least maneuverable hauler I’ve ever seen to fly around in. It even has the same name every time.
It’s especially cruel on expeditions like this one, where I can’t just pop into the space station or anomaly to use the appearance modifier, or buy a new ship.
Even if the character model and ship they start me with didn’t suck so bad, I’d still get tired of them being the same on every expedition start.
I wish they would just make expedition character generation truly random instead of basing it on the player’s name.
Other than this one thing, I enjoy the expeditions quite a bit, but man am I sick of being 3-feet tall.

So I went to the spacestation to buy some scanner upgrades for my staff. When I returned to my ship this baby was there. Now I’m not a fan of this style but I bought it, took it for a flight and sold it for upgrades. After selling it the first ship that flies in is the same Exotic! So I bought it and sold it again. The best minerals to Mine and Refine
Until now I discovered that The best 2 minerals for mining are, GOLD + SILVER + OXIGEN because with them you can refine all the others:
- Platinum ← Gold + Silver
- Chromatic Metal x20 ← Gold + Silver + Copper/Cadmium/Emeril/Indium
- Pyrite x2 ← Gold + Oxígen
- Ferrite Dust x1← Pyrite
- Basalt ← Pyrite + Magnetized Ferrite
- Paraffinium ← Silver + Oxigen
- Ammonia ←Paraffinum + Ferrite Dust
- Dioxite ← Ammonia + Ferrite Dust
- Phosphorus ←Dioxite + Ferrite Dust
- Uranium ← Phosphorus + Ferrite Dust
- Condensed Carbon ← Uranium + Hydrogen
- Many more….
That’s all you can refine with Gold and Silver, Do you know a better combination? 🙂
By the way , you can get unlimited amount of the following minerals just by mining OXIGEN and using this redundant recipes:
- Chlorine X5 ←Chlorine x1 + Oxígen x2
