Coming into No Mans Sky from the wonderful universe of Elite Dangerous, I’d never heard much good(any, really) about NMS. And i’d like to preface this with a Dont Get Me Wrong I Love Elite.

But holy freakin crap is this game a nice change of pace. Do yall know what i had to do to get a fleet carrier in elite dangerous?! Christ on a pancake. I got a little A-class freighter for free in NMS at my third system in my first playthrough. You know what i got in my third system in Elite Dangerous? TRAUMA.

Landing on planets and being able to interact with the terrain, however buggy and simplistic and perhaps not as dynamic as we’d like, is quite simply mindblowing.

And can i just say what a DELIGHT it is to hop around these galaxies??!! Im in a crappy little fighter with a SEVEN HUNDRED LIGHT YEAR JUMP RANGE. AND IT DOESNT HAVE TO CHARGE FOR 15 FRICKIN MINUTES.

Honestly. Great game. Glad to be here. Thanks for having me.

Oh and can i say just how freaking lovely it is to run into other players on a regular basis who want to wave and say hi, instead of blow up my ship to satisfy some inner sociopathic tendencies.

Hello, I’m new to the game. I keep reading online that you can only have up to 3 upgrade modules per type “per tab” otherwise they won’t be active. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what “per tab” means. Do they mean per exosuit/starship/multitool/exocraft, those tabs?

Also, if I have like 6 upgrades installed for my jetpack, how do I know which 3 are active? Or is it possible to know? Should I uninstall all but 3 just to be safe?

Started playing this game tonight, ended up on a toxic damp planet at the start. Go with the usual find things to keep your suit active and alive and eventually I wander into a cave system. At this point I have what I need to repair my ship, so I’m trying to get back to it. Found some gold in a stalagmite thingy so I got pretty excited about that. And as I continue to wander the cave system I see an odd plant. I pick up the plant and suddenly get a notification that sentinels are after me. Needless to say, I’m in a corner of this cave at my wits end cause I definitely was not ready for sentinels. I open my inventory and see a gravitino ball wort 40,024 units!! My jaw bout hit the floor. And there was 5 more just waiting for me. I was huddled in the cave a bit longer just waiting to get rkoed by a sentinel but nothing came and now I have to find my way out of this cave system.

Tldr: accidental exploration leads to 240,141 units of gravity balls and some gold and a very spooked space lad
