Wanted to get myself a squadron of Sentinel ships and I was wondering how much the game actually takes any upgrades you put into the ship into effect. Would a ship with high tier weapon upgrades change anything or does the damage only depend on the pilots stats? And will a pilot even use any installed weappns other than the base Sentinel canon? Looked on the wiki but it doesn’t even have a page about squadrons.

My idea for a Gas Giant; one could spawn per system (with like a 40% chance of spawning in a system) and it could harbor 2-3 moons. But what would make this interesting is the moons that it could harbor would be more unique and far larger than the moons currently in the game, basically planets trapped in this giant’s orbit. Now you’re probably thinking how the gas giant would actually work since its, you know, made of gas. My idea is when you drive your ahip inside the gas giant, its a huge storm that decreses visability and can damage your ship if you’re not careful. But the plus side to this massive risk is you can find rare recourses in bulk, enticing players to actively take that risk. Idk, just somwthink ive been thinking about 😄 submitted by /u/SkitsKing |

Hi, as there were questions about this subject, I decided to compare 2 identical ships and their stats. Both ships are from the same planet, 1 is intentionally picked original C class and 1 is original S class. I made sure their technologies are the same. Btw RIP my nanites… :)) Original S class is slightly better but the difference is really small. So it almost doesn’t matter if you want to pick up original S class or upgrade one. Of course the gap will be bigger with added weapons, dmg upgrades and so on. I’d love to be able to see other people’s ship names (and stats). Especially now that you can build your own ship, I’m sure a lot of people have interesting ship names and/or stories.
Same goes for pets and freighters. We’ve got it for base names so why not for everything else?
